Oh ok, got it…Yeah I mean, money is money and it is tough to donate $10 if you are going to lose and all, but if you drive all the way from Nashville, $10 shouldn’t really be a big deal, it’s the standard for most tournaments anyway.
Understood about the shittalking on your end, that makes it exciting for you…I don’t really like saying anything when I play, I just like to play and I like competition…it’s been that way since 1991…I never really said anything to anyone…I was never even one of those guys that used to hate “throws” and have house rules against them. That was the funniest thing ever getting shittalked about that…
But I can understand why it doesn’t really make it “social” for me to play someone because I don’t really say hardly anything the whole time, LOL

There’s going to be a lot of button mashing from players that’s for sure.I haven’t played it yet sadly but i’ve been watching enough videos to give me ideas already as to some combos,set-ups,etc that i will use that day. Regardless it should be fun, but if gamestop decides to do a midnight release of the game then i’ll be at my friend’s house all night playing it,lol.
Keeping it classy as always. I do enjoy remembering how after the tourney, we were all like “Let’s grab some beers!” and a couple of you guys were like “You guys go out and drink after playing together? Wow.”

everyone takes a different approach on what is competetive sportsmanship. Every scene is different, so i’ve noticed. I actually try to tell people to grow a thick skin to the hype shittalk or you will always fold under pressure. Many people have shut me up in an epic fashion. I have also seen many people get SERIOUSLY mad over nothing…nothing…All in all, shit talking is fun and hype to me! Maybe not to everyone, but calling someone out like that just because that’s how he see’s hype, is just idiotic.
I personally have never heard GDBell literally insult anyone yet I hear alot of insults towards him! I have literally heard people say that he should not hang with the “scene.” I’m sorry, but someone please inform me of who has the right, authority, or ballz to “kick someone out” a scene in general? I certainly dont, but I have heard it from others! lol!
And on Memphis tournaments,
Duckie, Squabb, Hiryu, and I are basically the only ones moving a finger to try and find a venue or try to do tournies! I haven’t heard anyone say anything about chipping in for venue costs, electric bill, venue in general, setups, dates, and all around fee’s! News flash to those who don’t know, Tournies cost hella monies!
I did however get some insight on a few venue’s and I was gunna talk to everyone at fightnight! Maybe we can set a date and see what’s up!

I am glad TN doesn’t really do any shittalking. We hype each other up at majors and stuff but after the match is over we wish the other party GGs and have good sportsmanship. I’ll take good sportsmanship over hype any day.
Yes to good sportsmanship…everyone has just gone on what they have seen here before with the elders in the scene and none of them here really talk a lot of smack. Stark contrast to Florida scene where people play off the best players and talk a lot…
Yeah I have been dealing with some of that myself. I don’t know why people want to talk shit to me about MY son!!! Helllooooo??? What do they think I am going to say…oh yeah Josh sucks?? I don’t even have anything to do with SF other than driving, paying money, taking him back and forth, more driving and paying more money.
