Yep,if only i had those options during the mvc2 days how my game would have severely stepped up that much more. Instead I had to learn mostly tru sheer battle experience (which will always be the best way to get better) But i used to practice all my combos,tri-jumps,resets,etc in training mode a lot also. I know when i was living in miami my training partner was ozzie(sentinels force) and Alex Garvin, and flashmetroid every other weekend. But training at ctf every time i went to ny is what really helped me level up the most.
That’s why i’m so glad that training mode for mvc3 is going to be so useful because they are implementing the tools necessary for my training sessions,yay!

Ive read an interview of Jason’s where he talks about his play style in tournaments, he basically said he tries not to rely on execution but rather normals that he knows will beat and/or annoy the opponent.
While unless you ARE Jason I wouldn’t recommend doing exactly that, I would say to kind of take that mentality and shape it to your needs. Do the things you are confident execution-wise with now to the best of your ability (I started out using almost nothing but cr.mk xx mp tk) and keep working on stuff in training mode in the meantime. Build up your fundamentals such as hit confirming and using your best pokes.
In the end once you do certain things enough times, try to slowly add them to your game. Sometimes you have to tell yourself “ok, I’m going to try and land this or that this match, win or lose”. Eventually you’ll be more surprised when you mess something up than when you actually get it right, and then it just comes down to fine tuning.

I haven’t played him in a loooong time though and I think I need to hop in training mode with him to keep my execution on par with him. Regardless, ggs and keep up the hard work. Definitely. It’s how I had to get decent at Blazblue after all… Had to just work on one combo at a time in matches until I could do it flawlessly, then repeat with a new one. I just haven’t gotten very far with Viper yet, and I’ve been slacking a lot on my training mode time…
Who all is coming to GG tomorrow and what time? I need to know what time to bring Josh. 
Since Josh hardly ever posts on here I will post for those that were interested even though I think Jason may have already said all of this. Josh said he is very happy with Rufus and Viper and that Rose and Cammy are bad now, Fei is a little worse, Honda is good and Yun is very good. I think that was all he had a chance to play today. Anyway I am just repeating what he told me. I know someone posted asking about Rufus in particular. If Josh is happy with Rufus then he must be fine cause Josh has a love/hate relationship with Rufus. LOL!!
