But…I go hard in the paint

Yeah the only way I’m gonna play it is on the vewlix at GG… IF I really like it I’ll pick it up but I dont see myself dropping SSFIV anytime soon…

Maybe if they added Blanka…

Haha well said. Even so, it’s oddly exciting to see Haggar again in a video game. No homo.

On the contrary,I want ppl to play me. I hate the fact that most ppl wont play me in mvc2 because i’m too strong to take off at this point so i have almost no comp here at all sans for Xavier and online. I was just saying that because i know ppl are going to get real salty here not long after the game is out because i’ll have retarded shit figured out before you know it,lol.
God! I can only imagine how it’s going to be after i return from Nyc later this year, not to mention final round, evo and all other tourneys in between.

You can count on me doing my best to be there. Besides you know i have to get on Eugene’s keep away ass no homo lol
Right Eugene?

On a side note,I love ssf4 and will continue to play it as long as there are ppl playing it here in memphis and also because it’s wayy too much fun getting on top of ppl’s asses with fat bastid! BIG TIME HOMO! lol!!!

Well then it sucks you don’t live closer to me otherwise I would say lets get some offline going and you double suck for having a PS3 and not an Xbox.

We are heading to Nashville in about 30 min. I will probably bring Josh straight to the arcade if anyone wants to come later today. See you all soon.

Actually I triple suck because i don’t even own a ps3,i just stay over my best friend’s house a lot so i play on his ps3 instead
But i’ll def try and make it out there when Jason has the tourney for it and we can get plenty of games in. I will be getting a 360 and ps3 after the game drops, just gotta collect some money first lol

por tus pujidos, nos cacharon = We got caught, because you moaned!

me la pelliscan!

A brief glimpse of Lycan’s marital peccadilloes.

I was having the same problem with Kara-Karakusa in matches. I could nail it at leisure in training mode, but in an actual match I’d never get it right. It came to a point when I’d just lose my nerve to use it completely, which is a shame, cause as risky as it is, it’s still a potent mixup option.

Good execution is largely about complete confidence in your ability to pull of whatever it is you’re trying to do, to a point that the possibility of fucking it up doesn’t even cross your mind. What worked for me was setting up a sort of mental marker. The method I use for karakara is f,d,f + lk, b + (x)k, and my problem was that I’d too often get st.lk instead of f.lk, which would connect, cause the opponent to go into block stun, and still cancel into karakusa. Since the opponent was still in block stun, the karakusa would whiff, and I’d be completely dead in the water. I realized that the f.lk was my main problem, and so I practiced just f,d,f + lk endlessly. Then, once that motion was deep enough in my muscle memory, I told myself this: that as long as I got that f.lk to come out, as long as my hands recognized that I had input that motion correctly, karakara was going to work, period. It wasn’t going to fuck up in any way. Now, I’m pretty confident in my ability to use it in a match. I don’t even need the mental marker any more.

I know jab hands is less complex and more about straight dexterity, but if you can make yourself believe it’s going to work every time, no question, then you’ll see much better results in game.

I still don’t know wtf a Kara Karakusa is…11 years later, LOL

It’s an 8 -15 frame non-invincible, throwable command grab that moves you closer to the opponent.

But man, when it works, it’s better than sex. If you do it at the right moment, you pretty much win the match.

Edit: Course, that’s true about anything, but you get what I mean.

Thanks for sharing that insight, boomcube.

About to head up to the arcade. Anyone up there?

What you’re describing is my fucking bane right now with Viper… She’s got so many options that I am completely aware of, and can pull off as you said “at leisure in training mode” but when it comes to an actual match it’s like I just tard out and completely forget to use some of those options. And when I do remember some of them, I mess up. Some are simple, such as using her overhead more (hard to screw that up) but doing some of her cancels are what I mess up. I think I should just focus on using one thing at a time until I get it down, rather than trying to remember ALL of her options I’m aware of at once…

I’m going to try to apply some of this advice to Viper as well, it still applies to some of her stuff. Thx br0

Awesome.

Damn son Punisher War Journal Cap FTMFW

I have a request for everyone who plays me online. Please, if you would… pick your best character and just hammer me into the fucking ground. I’m tired of doing what works online and then having to adjust when I play actual good players.

And this is the reason why it is always better to train your combos on training mode on a moving opponent. Like when i do actually take a few minutes of my time from rpg’s and a million other games, lol and marvel lmao! i go to training mode for a few minutes and practice all my combos and combo set ups on a cpu controlled opponent on the hardest level and also with the rec/playback option i usually do a lot of set up scenarios with various characters and then try and land those combos in those situations. Granted it’s still better to get used to doing them in actual matches but it does help a lot to train that way also. Something to think about for those of you who spend a lot of time on training mode honing your execution skills.
