Tennessee Thread - Arcade Edition and Turtle Nuts

If I’m still around, I’ll try to play it whenever I don’t have to hear Eugene.

zzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!

Thats because its got your girl in it

Marvel is going to sell well and it probably (maybe not year 1) but eventually will be the bigger game at EVO but numbvers don’t constitute to hardcore players.

Look at well the MK series sells. Always outsold SF for years and look how many hardcore MK players there are? Can’t even think of any, LOL…

But “old” heads are ogs at Marvel games, not SF games…sans Justin/Ricky it was rare for people to compete at a high level sans past year 2

… or you.

Oh yeah no doubt a majority of gamers are gonna trade that shit in after like a week or two because you can’t aim and shoot stuff. If you have to learn it and then get surpassed by all the other gamers who really get into fighting games, then they will just give up quickly and wait till CoD: Modern Warfare Barak O Beet edition hits shelves.

Marvel is easier to play than those games anyways, just mash buttons and twirl the stick, yay 100 hit combo

I’m secretly lol’ing at my friend who hates MVC2 but is pumped for MVC3.

Max was saying Marvel is hard to play

I don’t know about playing it but it gives me a headache to watch it!!

I dont know guys, Marvel is a pretty big deal. Like, EVERYONE played it back in the day (when it came out on consoles lol). If just 5% of the people who get it and play it in the area take it seriously, the scene could be as big or bigger as our SF scene… Then again, the whole “I only play online” thing might take a chunk out of that 5% and take it down to about 2%.

In any case, I’m sure SRK is going to be overwhelmed with strats for the game which might make it easier for people to really get into playing it seriously, more so than the other games on here with their one page sub forums…

hahaha

anyways, Online Heroes are the best when it comes to this stuff.

You realize you press a fireball motion with two buttons to do Supers and everything chains together, right?

Like, if Super Street Fighter IV motions are considered easy, Marvel would be like someone doing the easy motions for you.

There’s a lot to deal with on the screen and it’s a very fast paced game, but the skill level is infinitely different and again, it was widely known that players who played Marvel had a hard time with SF, which is not the case anymore but it’s definitely easier to do everything in Marvel. You just need to keep an eye on more stuff on the screen, but I gotta laugh if you think MVC is more difficult…spacing is essentially out of the equation…spacing becomes knowing when to do what assist, what combos to do from what assist, unblockables, spam on screen, I mean, there is a method to this and I am definitely not a seasoned MVC player at all, but it’s crazy to think playing this game is harder than SF

I think that being “hard to play” and being “hard to stomach” are two separate things.

I tried MvC2 multiple times and I felt ill afterward. I’m not expecting my experience with MvC3 to be any better. I’m going to pirate it… play it offline for about 1 hour… then never play it again.

i’ll play mvc3 if they put Honda in… his playstyle fits the game pretty well amirite?

Until they add my team of Gief, Sim and Megaman/Juggernaut I have no interest in MvC3…

I dont know who or what the F a Modok is…

And no I’m not any good at the game I just play it casually and mash like I’m being electrocuted… You know like all other MvC players…:bgrin:

truth.

Yeah cause you are gonna be playing so much Link’s Awakening DX

No I know all the motions and such but I never said it was harder than SF. I wasn’t ever compairing the two I just said Max said it’s a hard game to play.

Wouldn’t spacing in Marvel be more difficult because of how fast it moves and that you have to take into account more on the screen in terms of assists?

All this Marvel hate is stupid, for real. :shake:
