Nina was broke in 5.0. Gear is too dead scene-wise but if you come to Memphis we’ll play with you. And maybe it’ll be at Final Round again this year. I doubt it unless Heidern and crew just run another side tourney.
Don’t touch BB. You’re still pure right now. Don’t get tainted. It’s not worth it.
Well, in order to avoid a long post, let’s just say that the diff between a mash Chreddy and a Chreddy that has some idea of how to play even slightly, is huge. It’s like, not even against higher comp, they won’t win with that mash shit. If you even know the strings a bit, you’ll shut that shit down no problem. I assure you, it’s not to the extent you think, and I used to say that shit too back in the day when Rell was teaching me the game. Orel was playing other characters too like Bryan. But yea, he didn’t get away with any of that when he was playing the game. Newer moves and strings maybe, but he wouldn’t have known if they were new or not. It was only when he got a “brain”, and could formulate a style, do his lil set-ups, and mix shit up that he was able to get wins. Eddy has good mix ups. But he also modified his combos, punished certain stuff he knew or could see, all that. I don’t ever think he ever brought that mash Chreddy shit around us, even when he first started, and if he did he prob got put off the sticks so fast that he’d never do it again. And Sev learned Eddy too, just to kick shit at Orel. So they both know that character well. And since they actually learned the game, away from arcades and online scrubs, I don’t even think they’d consider the mash out capabilities of which you speak. I swear man, it’s only like that if you are relatively new to game or have piss poor defense, then it’s the same as against other characters. You’ll get hit with random strings. They arent special in this regard except that if you mash the same two buttons with them you can do prob make more shit come out. THIS is that sense of accomplishment maybe lmao. It’s not unpredictable at all. It just looks…“more” I guess to the untrained eye I guess. It’s all mixups. Only certain shit they can do from stances, follow-ups, etc. and it doesnt change. Once you KNOW those(tekken=knowing) then you just have to react based on what you know or guess because…it’s a mixup.
And it’s good practice to treat most of Tekken as situational because no one is going to settle for guaranteed all the time. Everyone is greedy. You just gotta develop that awareness. That’s pretty much all I can say about it. And yea please get with Cody and play since you admitted many times to liking the game. The more you play, feel, and comprehend, the more you can reasonably school the other guys. I agree, sometimes you just gotta dive in it or you’ll never completely get it lol. Its just one of those things.
Me too…
Eww. That’d be hella unbalanced. And I think people just don’t like change, although I’ve heard this from a few Yoshi players. It’s odd because he’s much better in 6. I think it’s because they had to do so much to win with him in older games, and thus became locked in their individual ways and style. Haha the ONLY people that don’t like T6 Yoshi are the DR Yoshi players lol.
