Cause there’s no stream. It’s the sad truth now, but if there’s not a stream then people won’t care about it. MAT, while also an Evo major, was MUCH smaller than MWC is going to be yet they got their thread stickied and on the front page because of the stream. /conspiracy.
Anyway I don’t think it’s a huge deal at the end of the day, I’m sure anyone in the know in the area will be coming if they can. Maybe Dream can get floe to tweet it or something lol.

We will be recording and posting later. A lot of the lack of stream thing = no capable internet but that’s besides the point. It’s not secret spooky got a great hook up from me doing the PDP thing and I was told I would get a stream from him this year (a year later), I am sure it would have been set up but it didn’t happen. I mean, the main issue we have with the event is lack of promotion. I am not a promoter/setup guy, I am just a bracket guy, but because it’s my event everyone is turning to me and unfortunately everyone helping did their best trying to promote but as you can see even with an EVO qualifier marker people just forget about us, I mean, the crazy thing is if I did a 5K pot tournament we’d have crazy amounts of people (which is probably going to happen next year) but with crappy internet and we STILL have not tested a stream at the arcade it’s still another on the “to do” list unfortunately.
I guess the “cool” thing to do will be to take someone’s else dates with a 5K pot like has happened to me in the past but the reality is the support for MWC lies on networking and unfortunately none of us really communicate with everyone we need to. I am basically in hibernation anyway and it’s rough to promote this tournament unless I am doing the legwork which I can’t do…Chris, Dimo, Richard, Myles, Danny, Jose, etc…everyone has been helping but it’s rough out there unfortunately.
Oh well, we’ll still have a fun tournament I am sure but watch for the Q-Kong BBOY rap wtf 5K pot tournament we will be having, lol

We combined the TN threads years ago for a reason, there is a very small scene in Knoxville as it is. A moderator actually combined them because there was very little activity and honestly our scene needs it to be combined.

My bad. Starting out we had a small scene back home but we still had a city specific thread, both in Richmond and in Roanoke/Blacksburg area. We already had a few kids join the knox Facebook group messaging me saying they saw this specific thread on SRK but don’t really post, which illustrates my point in reply to naughtyzeut and may encourage them to start having a presence on SRK. Im not trying to clutter the forums with senseless threads, I’ll say again I’m not trying to isolate or segregate Knoxville from a state wide community. If it really is an issue then please get it removed. I’m not looking to create any bad blood in this area over the creation of a city specific thread. It’s not worth the bandwidth and it will only serve to hinder what I’m trying to establish here.
I play pretty much everything. AE I main Cody, play around with everyone else. I play a little marvel, I’m working on a Vergil/doom/strider team. I haven’t played much of sfxt since the the patches but I did play week one Hugo/Asuka or Hugo/king. In blazblu I play Jin/Hazama I love the ice and full screen chain combos. Im working on combos in Skullgirls know. Just trying to learn nurse/double stuff I see everyone playing with so I can at least play casuals competently. I use to play a lot of GGAC, I used testament/Zappa/potemkin. King of fighters is one I’m really trying to get good at, I’m using a super stacked team so don’t get salty: mr. Karate/hwa/classic kyo team don’t stop moving. But I dick around with other characters too. tekken 6 I played a little bit of, I used miguel because of that homeless swagggg. Trying to get on the vf5 bandwagon learning Vanessa, I used her in 4evo.
I guess thats all the main titles. I play everything though ken in 3s, Sasquatch in VS, gief/Ryu/deejay in STHD, I have a really terrible mvc2 team relying heavily on AHVB and sentinel garbage, I’m not great at cvs2 put I use iori/Morrison/sagat k groove if I remember correctly, melty blood I know one combo with the lightning guy (raoh?) but I’m able to pick up wins playing a solid peekaboo game. I can get to a competent level in most games, just need 20 minutes to practice a combo and I can usually learn the ropes from casuals.
We’re hopefully having our first gathering at barcade this Friday. Including me we have a 4-5 heads showing up. So if anyone can make it down that would be awesome, I’ll be able to confirm a time later today after I stop in there. Practice up.
