Tell me what you think

I would probably show up for a GW tournament. From what I know the cabinets are in pretty good shape, and it would be cool to be able to grab a beer or 5 between matches. The big downsides to having a tourney at GW are that it will likely be a lot more expensive than many are used to, and certain gameworks policies might make things somewhat difficult from an operational standpoint.

9TNine-Yes it’d be for more games than just T5.

Shit I just went there today on a whim and I got my fix of mvc2 and 3s. That guy with long hair and glasses was there, I think he posts here on srk. Either way gw while pricey is a damn good spot. I think I need to go there more often now. I would definatley check out a tourney down there.

nice…they got a bar there???

Definetly worth traveling for.

I remember i went there one time, there was a hot chick working there i think when it first opened up. She looked like that girl from drop dead fred. I was playing house of the dead for the first time and she played with me and was hollaring but i was shy…dammit

thats life.

STO SELLING TICKETS!!!

tis no lie she was hot.

sup SON? what u diding?

I kind of assume you meant me. I was there Friday night and later Saturday afternoon. Played some guy in Marvel on Saturday that was using a fine assortment of characters very well. Then again, I was only using two of my default teams and haven’t played that in ages. Not to mention Jesse G, who I hadn’t seen since Southcenter tournament days, showed up for a few Marvel games. I thought Friday was a blast. Played Justin, Dave Son, Gene, a dude from Cali and my tech friend Jesse at 3rd Strike. Thought it was hilarious when a Baiken cosplayer from Oregon almost beat Jesse’s Alex with Elena.
But to Mandel, I say, hell yeah!
It’s a good place to play. The technicians and some of the other guys who work there play a lot of 3rd Strike and Tekken. The 3rd Strike machine is kept in excellent condition with perfect 360s. The place also plays host to the most good, black 3rd Strike players I ever saw in one place.

tourneys at GW would be awesome. seattle needs to come up again. bar, food, games, downtown, happy hour thurs night 2$ shots, 10$ unlimited card = you cant loose.

This sounds like a genius plan… I’ll be there.

Alright peeps, if Zach approves, you know you gotta approve of this idea. Period. Hahah.

Those were good games, I remember playing you back when people actually went to Lanwerx. I was that guy that was not asian, with shoulder length hair. I think you got a taste of “The Dream Team”. Now I just need to dust off my copy of 3s and get back in shape. Hell I need to get used to playing on 360’s; unlike the UW’s HUB sticks that are so beat up I can superjump with my pinky.

Yay gameworks!

The lack of CvS2 is keeping me skeptical. But the presence of beer almost makes up for that. I dont really have any fun playing MvC2 in the arcade anymore. Id rather get trashed at home and play. But if they had CvS, I would go for sure. Something about that game isnt as fun at home.

Had a blast at GW, finally some 3S competition! :karate: I played mostly with the techs there who are really good, mostly with Nile. If anyone I played posts on here, I was the guy with the headphones, long hair and cap… I was playing with Elena/Remy/Ken/Chun. Now that snowboarding season is almost over I should be there on the weekends more often since people actually play, Thursday nights will still be tough.

Yeah totally I have been going there on Thursday nights for awhile now it’s awesome and you can get drunk! (which of course helps the parries)
