Television General Discussion

i feel so akward about this season…since i actually lived through it. its very surreal…i dont think ive ever had a tv show situation like this before for me.

Yeh I can’t imagine what that must be like for anyone that went through it, it’s still so recent. If the previous seasons are anything to go by the writers will handle it with a lot of care.

Edit: loved the jabs at Reddit, I had no idea about any of the aftermath, people’s lives were destroyed after the witchhunts.

There is some serious schoolgirl uniform hotness in tonight’s Supernatural… holy shitttt. She could stand to lose the beret though; I’m not really enjoying that particular aspect of the look…but the glasses, socks up to the knee and that skirt— YES please, I’ll take 2 orders of that.

*This happens to be episode 200, apparently.

Sad to see Newsroom end like this, last couple of eps were a little disappointing, great send off episode though.

Shit about to go down on Person of Interest.

Anybody watch The Missing, editing of the flashbacks really made the timeline confusing at times, it’s been pretty good otherwise up until the final episode, they went a bit overboard with the twists and turns, the whole Russia thing should have been left out. James Nesbitt is an amazing actor, really liked the guy that played the french cop that helped him. The actress that played the wife was also good, that actress has a killer smile.
Second season has been greenlit for next year.

Edit
Just watched the pilot episode of Ascension, stick with it till the end of the episode it’s worth it.

banshee origins is pretty good. but 8x 3 min episodes.

Has the new series started up again? The origin episodes for the previous seasons were damn good.

its sometimes in january…11th I think…

THAT episode of Criminal Minds was just on ION…“100”… holy shit I’ve already seen it and it is still awesome… this is the thrilling conclusion of the situation with that serial killer “The Reaper”, and things got personal with Agent Hotchner. This was a level of thrills on par with the usual adventures of Jack Fuckin BAUER, folks…oh yes, it’s that good.

The storyline there also reminds you of just how shitty human nature is when you see what a horrible son of a bitch “The Reaper” is.

yup

[details=Spoiler]The beatdown at the end was quite satisfying… I’d be the same way, really… some people are such worthless pieces of shit, I’d be perfectly ok with them being killed right there at the damn scene… no trial for you.
…it is also a relief because tax-payer money isn’t then wasted on such trash if they happen to be put down right there at the scene of the crime.[/details]

tv back yet nigga…I am bored as fucc :wtf:

Agent Carter was pretty good, it has great fight scenes and good casting.

Person of Interest is fucking with my emotions man! I need to know if blank is alive or not.

I sadly discovered through The Challenge that Diem Brown and Ryan Knight passed. I didn’t know Ryan Knight, but I remember Diem and her long battle with cancer. It sucks that these two lost their lives, hopefully them and their loved ones will find peace.

Yeah, I found out a couple of weeks ago from my friend. Diem’s death really hurt, and now Stuart Scott’s death from cancer coming not too long after. Cancer is really hitting hard these last couple of months.

On Knight’s though…I’m less sympathetic due to how he died, which was from partying.

Person of Interest NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! :s
Brilliant episode though.

Is Agent Carter worth watching?

Sleepy hollow back! yes i liked the agent carter one shot.

That’s easily my favorite episode of Criminal Minds. When The Reaper is giving up and Hotchner is all “nah homie” and continues the beatdown, it was a just ending.

X-FILES, FRINGE, TRUE BLOOD, OR PERSONS OF INTEREST

Do help me decide what tv series to watch next, without posting any spoilers.

By the way I’ve watched many tv series including The Wire and House of Cards. I didn’t care much for the wire because I didn’t like the obnoxiously ghetto theme and the slow pace of the show, and I barely understood the internal politics of a police department. And half the stuff that goes on in House of Cards I don’t understand because I don’t know much about regular politics. I never even heard of the word whip used as political jargon before I watched the show and I still have no idea what it means.

x-files

Fringe

Fringe if I had to choose one. Both it and X-Files get shaky in their last few seasons, but Fringe has less (however more focused) seasons to watch. Both have great episodes, Fringe took after X-Files in quite a few ways, but an built-up an interesting arc faster whereas its predecessor stayed more of a procedural.

I’d say Fringe and Supernatural are split branches of XF’s template. Where one show focuses on mysterious events in general, both its descendants focused on science and mystical/supernatural elements respectively.

personally xfiles first cause its the father to fringe in the most obvious way possible. without xfiles spearheading alot of the creepy scifi stuff in the early 90s fringe wouldnt have had to push itself creatively as much as it did to be different.

woah house of lies is back? i assumed they cancelled that glorious show. season 4 premiere is on youtube by showtime.
