Television General Discussion

Even if I don’t know much about the Justice League? The best thing about Batman TAS, was that while I was never a reader of Batman comics during it’s run, I never felt like I was missing out on some huge tome of knowledge needed to watch the show. They did a great job of making me a feel like I was getting the full Batman experience - short of getting a batarang wrapped around my ankles.

I don’t know, they left the phone so I guess they’ve done their job. We may see them again towards the end of the season.

Yeah, especially considering that the JL isn’t the focus of the show. It’s about a mini justice league that they manage. I was able to enjoy the JL cartoon form the early 2000s without reading the comics. That’s how just about all these super hero cartoons run, They know the average person doesn’t read the comics.

Cool Castle tribute on Missing. Missing is a good one to watch actually. Bad ass episode of Person of Interest too.

So I got a chance to watch The Killing S2 premiere and let me say it was more entertaining than S1 combined. Why?

Stuff actually happened.

Though it was really frustrating how they’re stretching out the eventual re-partnering of Linden and Holder - especially since it’s just a matter of her picking up her phone/opening the door and giving him 30 seconds to talk. If it were a situation where they were at odds then I could appreciate it, but when it’s a character just being stubborn (which happens A LOT in this series) its just hard to watch.

Didn’t see Missing this week - hopefully it’s available onDemand by now. Also haven’t watched Fringe yet.

 this week for Criminal Minds, New Girl and Breaking In

Does anyone have that Amazon Prime video service? Reviews?

Wow, Fringe has been pretty awesome. I’m still one episode behind, but this new arc just came out of nowhere.

The Killing still has stuff happening which is cool. Holder is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters on TV yo.

New Girl is still going strong. The last few episodes have been on point. I especially like CeCe’s Russian model roommate. “Oh it’s me!”

Missing is still interesting. Some of the plot twists were kinda obvious or at least forseeable, but it’s still entertaining.

Kiefer Sutherland’s 24 catchline: “Who are you working for!!!”

Kiefer Sutherland’s Touch catchphrase: “There must be some reason he lead us here…”

I know tehre is a Fringe thread already, but if you people are not watching Fringe, DO IT! john Noble is probably the most snubbed actor working on TV for awards. His character on Fringe is one of the most amazing and unique characters on TV right now. He is tied with Don Draper and Ron Swanson as my favorite charcter on TV. Do yourself a favor, and watch this show.

So glad it got picked up for a final season. 13 episodes to give us a proper ending - hopefully.

Is it me or is Veep one of the worst shows ever? Its just painful to watch! BRING BACK BORED TO DEATH HBO

If they didn’t give us those last 13, the “Watcher Future” episode would have been 100% useless and non-sensical…but 13 more eps to enjoy Walter? Yes plz!

When it comes to original programming on cable, I stick to a few - none of which are on HBO:

Leverage
Falling Skies
Dexter
Homeland
Franklin & Bash
The Killing

I only watched one episode of Breakout Kings this season, even though I like the show. The stuff on USA is hit and miss.

Like I said, still one episode behind - still need to see the episode that aired last week, but I loved Walter (as usual) in that episode:

“I love LSD.”

Also the part when he

Made the anti-matter bomb

was BA and mad-scientist wrapped into one. Awesome.

Kumail Nanjiani is on Franklin and Bash, literally the only reason I would watch that show…however, I do not…

The last episode was probably top 3 best epuisodes ever. Walter DESTROYED acting-wise.

It’s one of those fun shows. As long you go into it not expecting anything groundbreaking, then you’d enjoy it. The Practice it is not lol.

I tend to like a lot of shows like that. Leverage is another example - however the characters on Leverage and the on-screen chemistry are amazing.

Wth, I just found out a new season of Whitechapel has been going on. Anyone watching it?

Why did no one inform me Guillermo Diaz had a good role on Scandal?

Spoiler

And he’s a functional ex-CIA black ops dude with a penchant for torturing folks?

It’s about time the guy caught a break.

If anyone here has Dish Network and watches any of the popular AMC series, you may want to read this

I’m wondering where they’re going with Touch. Gonna watch till the end of the season and hope that it all makes sense in the end.

As for Awake…I’m really interested to see where this goes, though I wonder how long they plan to air this show. The whole “two separate realities” thing doesn’t seem like something that would last multiple seasons, especially with the way things are going now. Once this is all over, where would they go from here? I guess there’s the gemini killer, but how far can they stretch that?
