I’d wager that we haven’t heard much on this game due to the development of Tekken Tag 2, Namco probably didn’t want TxSF to overshadow it. Now that TTT2 is done we should start hearing some news within the next couple of months on TxSF. If not, its pretty much dead

Hope it’s not true, was just thinking about this game yesterday now that TTT2 is out and running. I think the Tekken team could use some time away from a strictly Tekken fighter and TxSF would be a great relief for them.
It’s done wonders for the NRS guys, working on thing for too long could burn them out ad make the games stagnant.
After SFxT’s debacle onto the market and competitive scene I’m not really hype for any other cross shit for a while.
Shame. Would’ve been a good opportunity to create a trimmed down reboot of the series while leaving TTT2 to the Tekken crowd who’d go spastic if you removed one of the 74 ways to stand up or mongolian-backdashing, or whatever the fuck you call it.
Yeah cause Tekken 4 was such a great game.

It could have been if it received a bunch of updates like every other Tekken game has. Let’s not forget the DRs, BRs, and Tag updates that every other game got before they became “great”.
Well now we know there is another Cross over game that will be great because its by Namco.

There was only one version TTT1. TTT2 is the only one to really get updated like 5 and 6 hell those updates only happened after 4.
At first I was like “it’s been out for a while, but better late then never I guess!” but then I reread the thread title.
TTT1 was an update to T3. Even had the same stages as T3.
There was nothing fundamentally wrong with Tekken 4. Almost all the problems could be fixed or tweaked with patches, and actually later Tekkens, despite the different style, did adopt a lot of the new shit that was introduced in 4.
So? Night warriors had the same Stages from Darkstalkers and it was called a sequel and not a update. Hell Darkstalkers 1 got most of it’s code from sf2 yet it is a considered a different game.
