1.) Why is Miguel even in this movie, and
2.) Why is Roger Huerta playing Miguel?
Last time I checked, Huerta was a lightweight fighter. Miguel is a big dude.
I fully expect this movie to be as breathtaking as Versus.

Just thought I wud throw out a few ideas for the cast:
Jin: the guy from fast n furious tokyo drift (main antagonist asian)
Marduk: Bob Sapp (yes I said it)
Lei: obvious
King: sumthin Messiah (wrestler from AAA)

I already covered that. Casual fans won’t know the difference, so why not go for the option that will make everyone happy?
because if a producer feels changes will make them more money they’ll do it. hence why a movie like 21 which is based off a cast of asians and like 2 white people got flipped to 2 asians and the rest are white. even though its a true story.

Videogame to film adaptations routinely fail because the core audience is alienated and the casual audience has no interest to begin with so any momentum the film could have gained is wasted. This has always been the case. The only franchises that succeed are ones with lots of crossover appeal like Resident Evil. People will see it regardless because Zombie movies are a relatively popular genre.
Exactly. You’re arguing against your own point. Resident Evil is completely different than Tekken or say Xmen. Film producers wanna tone down the unrealistic stuff and emphasize the realistic stuff so that casual film goers will have an easier time accepting the film. Would you want to see Wolverine in his yellow and black spandex costume with the bat ears? Or Jin or Heihachi with the wavy hair that look like bird’s wings? Or would you rather see them with more realistic hair or Wolverine in a believable, real world costume that makes sense. I know I don’t mind, as long as the movie is actually good and retains the core of the game’s/comic’s story. I would prefer more realism than pandering to the hardcore fans. Either way, the hardcore fans will still go see the movie. I’m just saying, I’m for whatever helps sell the movie to more people so that they make sequels and shit.
Zulu, Marduk is white dude, albeit tanned (his 2P outfit T5 even moreso tanned, in T6 his 2P outfit is not as tanned anymore), but he’s a white Australian.
Video game movies are just like comic book or anime movies, they will never please the real fans. If u wanna get pleased by a movie based on sumthin do it urself. Hell u wud prolly make more money then hoolywood :-p but u gotta admit Dead or Alive and Street Fighter were amazing movies :-x lmao.

He was the capoeira dude in The Protector, that scene in the temple full of water vs Tony Jaa. Good martial artist, he’d be a great Eddy.
I don’t get why Hollywood accepts some of these video game movie ideas, like “Legend of Chun li”, and turn down something like Metal Gear Solid which was going to be directed by David Hayter; that movie would of been more then decent.

People on IMDB are saying its better than DBZ and Legend of Chun Li if that means anything. It has 8/10 (but imdb score system can’t ever be trusted), I will wait and see what folks on rotten tomato say.
