i hope there is never another “live action” fighting game movie.
This movie quite possibly has the best casting in the history of video game movies.
Um. Where is this movie? Someone needs to pick this up. It can’t be worse than DoA or Chun Li.
does anyone know what the plot is…is the movie based off tekken 6?
maxx what brand of paint is it that you sniff?
what?
first time looking at the cast. they look the part. unfortunate the movie will suck. but hey, you never know. maybe it will at least be decent.
I’m hoping for MK level.
But I must say, what I did like about DoA is that they got the whole explanation for varied locations down.
I think since this movie didn’t get a distributor by the time that T6 was out is the reason why we aren’t watching this. Which sucks really, i mean at least the plot follows Tekken 3 a little.
Although Miguel is a big wtf.
all the t5/t6 guys confuse me hence im trying to figure out what plot their following. do u know the plot? im guessing they just needed a guy for the hispanic market.
^ im sure they will just make something up, and i agree, i will accept at least mortal kombat 1 level. side note. my firefox reset itself and i lost all bookmarks and addons. thank god for opera. thats pretty randomly ridiculous though.
did you close down your comp without doin the proper shutdown…my mozilla erases bookmarks when i do that.
mk1 is acceptable. that movie is still good to me.
Isn’t he in jail?
Lateef f’ing Crowder! Hell yes!
That’s all I got to say about this.
Edit: Christie’s actress looks like she’d be better suited for Nina.
Double edit: No King? I saw a picture of King on set! And they need Nathan Jones for Marduk.
What is with Bryan’s moustache. I never understood why they change things like that in these types of videogame/movie adaptations.
Three points:
The people who are going to see this want to see the characters they know. Casual fans won’t care either way so why not go with the look that everybody will be happy with?
It’s more work to invent new looks and plot lines. Yes. Sticking with the source material is in fact less of a strain because it’s already figured out for you. Just paint by numbers.
You’re making a movie based on Tekken/Mortal Kombat/ Street Fighter, it’s not like you’ve got a lot of artistic vision in the first place so why put your own spin on it and wind up disappointing your core audience.
because core audience doesnt come close to adding up to the people who will be paying. hardcore fans are never enough to pay for the movie budget.
And everyone else wants a mustache?
seriously that’s what I was thinking, but is he still in prison?
Wikipediasays he never went to jail, and is allowed to be free while his appeal is being considered. IMO he’s just being targeted cuz of his fame. The prosecutors actually argued for a harsh sentence to make an example of him due to his fame.
Meh, I don’t mind Bryan Fury with a moustache or without, but Heihachi definitely gots to be rocking that biker 'stache, the wavy hair can go tho. I’m very happy they got Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa in this movie. Dude was awesome as Shang Tsung, as well as his other flicks. Also love Tamlyn Tomita (Jun Kazama). I think they’ll be focusing on the Mishima clan, which means prolly mostly T2 or T3 story, with some T5 and T6 story sprinkled in. IMO as long as it’s better than Legend of Chun Li, I’ll be happy.
Anybody else thinks John Foo is too old looking to play Jin? Him and Ian Anthony Dale (Kazuya) look about the same age. They shoulda got somebody younger. And no Paul Phoenix? That’s just wrong. = (
didnt kazuya die in tekken 2 and came back during tekken 4? he only looks 10 years older than he was in T2 and he’s supposed to be twice as old as he was
