Tekken Movie Cast Confirmed?

Christie’s actress should’ve been chosen for skill rather than just grabbing a random tanned caucasian chick who is apparently untrained in ANY physical art. Miguel…was only slightly recognizable by the caballero-style pants. He sounded like some high-school preppy, no accent, and no curly hair. WTF. Jin too much hollywushu bs, not enough karate. Lateef jobbed, as usual (that shit’s getting old, him showing up only to get his ass kicked). Okay movie, but if they had fans as consultants, it would’ve been much better.

Well, they did better than every other recent anime/fighting game adaptation. Which isn’t saying much. But somewhat impressive given they had at most about a third of the budget as most others. Then again, a good budget would probably involve them hiring a blonde haired blue eyed Jin. Anyway, more could’ve been done in terms of developing many of the characters given that a lot of the cast are some of Hollywood’s more talented actors under the radar. I think Ian dale is a fine actor and did what he was supposed to do with what he was given for Kazuya. Jon also is a solid actor in his own right, but I wasn’t digging the English accent. Seeing Lateef job is painful.

As a practicer of baguazhang, I nearly raged at Jin calling… whatever it is the hell she was doing, bagua.

The movie is really, really bad. I’d rather watch a thousand sci fi made for tv movies, than this dose of complete garbage.

Beard, mustache, no scars and only fights with HAND AXES??? I thought I was looking at Kano instead of Kazuya. He wouldn’t even let them give him Kazya’s Vegeta-‘do? Man, fuck him. That was NOT Kazuya. Same for Miguel. Did they even cast a latin guy for that role? And seriously, Hollywood needs to chill with that “Okay, this movie is about multiple fighting styles, so 1 of you will have a distinctive style, one of you will just be a brawler…and the rest will either be wushu stylists, or unskilled pretty girls who will be taught wushu choreography for your scenes. Americans are dumb, so they can’t tell the difference anyway.”. Fuckin’ Hollywushu. I ask again, are there any trickers who DON’T do wushu, besides Lateef? Karate, Tae Kwon Do (both of which would have been a welcome mix to this movie…lord knows there’s plenty of dye-job asians running around in Cali, they couldn’t find a Hwoarang?), these styles are sorely under-repped in movies. Oh…and the one dude who could get away with using Hollywushu due to portraying a kung fu stylist fought like some lame mma fighter: Marshal Law. Wtf? Dude couldn’t even just fake some Jeet Kune Do? Jason Scott Lee was a better Law when he was just doing Bruce Lee in that Dragon movie. In the Jin vs Law scene, Jin was the one backflipping on Law’s ass. Jin was a better Law than Law’s actor was. That’s sad.

nothing law does remotely looks like jeet kune do, he just has a couple of Bruce Lee signiture moves. But I agree Cung Le didn’t move much like Law either,
My brother - "who’s the fat guy?"
Me - "Forrest Law"
My brother - “…lol”

I heard Jason Scott Lee still trains in JKD, it’s shame he has been only doing stage acting these past few years.

I’m glad that this movie isn’t on the suck level of Avenging Fist (hongkong bootleg Tekken movie)
Same complaints as everyone else… boring fights, too many annoying flashback scequences. At least they actually made an attempt at having costumes that are represented in the games, unlike KOF and Legend of Chun Li.

Oh damn I forgot there was a live action of KOF too

Going have to watch that tonight

Wait, KoF was released already? When the hell did that happen?

This seems to be the most productive thing that came out of this movie. I don’t even wanna watch this crap now, is it worth wasting a hour to see how bad it is?

is this jcvd street fighter bad? where i actually love it because its still entertaining and fun and continue to watch it every month?
or kreuk street fighter bad? where i actually hate the movie and it brings me no joy, only sorrow and bleeding eyes?

JCVD bad.

It’s leagues ahead of Legend Of Chun-Li.

Oh yeah, as a Kazuya, Ian just didn’t fit. Could play a decent villain. Just not Kazuya. And yeah, Roger Huerta is latin. Also, most trickers in Hollywood have a Karate/TKD base. For the record, jon also does TKD. As for Jason Scott Lee, the guy hates Hollywood and has been living like a hippee in Hawaii. Which is a shame because he’s an awesome actor.

Edit: One more thing, Cung Le actually comes from a Wushu background as well. So it’s not so much as who they got representing the styles so much as it was the choreography.

Oh so Christie was still a white woman in this movie and no surprise that she couldn’t act or fight. Goes to show how much they cared. They could’ve got my cousin who’s a real Capoeira master. She’s 29 maybe a bit too old, but movies do that all the time anyway.

good, then you will bring it today and we shall rejoice

pics?? 29 isn’t old, I don’t know about women, but men are said to peak between 32 - 35 years old.
