from what i see…tekken just seems to take more dedication and practice in order to compete at a high level… at SF tourney you will find A LOT more scrubs than u will in tekken tourneys…this just comes from years of going to tourneys. usually u get 10 to 15 players or less who can win but in tekken more than half the players can have a legit chance of winning. This is based on a tourney with something like 100 players. Basically. you are a lot more likely to run into a “G” when playing tekken than Street fighter. Tekken takes much much longer to become competitive in at a high level. SF you can win in a VERY short amount of time with very little knowledge. just my personal opinion and the opinion of MANY people ive met over the past 5 years or so
I have a hard time getting into SF and I have been playing tekken since my childhood, Tekken 6 is where I picked it up competetively. The lack of arcades here in Netherlands and the lack of competetition very hurts my Tekken skills because I cannot grow by playing the same people over and over again.
I dont think so they can be compared…both are different
I don’t think these two games can be compared in sense “which is better”. Those are two very different games.
BodeeU4Fray is a classic example of arrogance. Not only that, he doesn’t even have the right knowledge about just frames.
EWGF is in no way a just frame move. You’ve got like two or three frames when you hit the last input, not to mention that the whole move is super-easy compared to real just-frames.
JFSR/OTGF also has at least one frame tolerance. The f,N input doesn’t require any just-frame timing at all, the only just frame is to press d/f+1 at the same frame (and most possibly it does have a one frame tolerance).
Paul’s Demolition Man is not even close to just-frame. Not everything blue-sparky has to be JF. It has a pretty strict timing, but nowhere close to JF.
@Smozzler: Bryan’s Taunt into Jet Upper had one more frame tolerance in T5DR, has pretty strict timing in T6 - that would be what I call JF.
Mostly, I think SF can help Tekken guys better understand the spacing game. But there’s not very much you could take from SF to Tekken, besides the fact that you’ve got to pretty much read your opponent and have a good execution. That, however, is the basic of all fighting games.

378 views, no one steps up to prove that you have several frames to hit EWGF.
not really much you can bring to tekken from street fighter that you wouldn’t learn without. good to play alot of fighting games in general.double the fun when a vs series comes out like sfxtekken
