TEKKEN 7 | Lounge

My OCD is super triggered from that character select screen, it’s like they forgot to put in one more char portrait (I guess that’s where Eliza goes?)

I need dat! Good stuff!

Maybe. I don’t know how reliable Wonkey’s source is and it is possible that cutscenes were skipped for that run. I avoid reading GameFAQs for obvious reasons…

The point is I think everyone should have one. I also can’t think of anything more generic than a d/f 1 uppercut in the series except a 1,2 jab and a rising roundhouse kick.

Relax is 50/50 and can often easily be blocked and punished on reaction on my part. I do not understand the stigma around it.

You know of any non-wiki or non-forum source for published tier lists?

I never used practice in Tekken, because to my perception Tekken’s practice mode has always been useless and lacking in information, whereas in recent Virtua Fighters it was concise and detailed with respect to every character.

I never claimed to be an authority, simply that tier lists outside of the very top are very subjective and how a player views other characters is often through the eye of their own character match-up. For example, if you know character match-ups and have amazing reactions Aoi may very well be unbeatable in your hands.

You assume that characters have never remained in the same tier or shifted in the same tier between version updates despite receiving buffs.

I use electrics very sparingly after the first tag, so I doubt you would get to see what you are anticipating. Quite frankly, I am much better with Law/Paul/Anna/Baek, though I do play a very mean Heihachi.

Also, you can’t duck a hellsweep as they hit low… I have never been good at anticipating Devil Jin’s, but there is something about Kazuya’s that is just easy to low block/low parry. Heihachi’s first hit of hellsweep has been tricky, but the follow ups were predictable. Like I said, I wait for a telegraphed move to sidestep.

My motto is: Let the CPU do all the work when possible!

Actually, this is a discussion/anticipation thread. The scientific data here ranges from minimal to none. The real scientific data threads are buried near the bottom of the forum directory and have long been forsaken since the release of Tekken Tag 2.

Correction: It has an hour of gameplay, not cutscenes (4+ hours?).

So slick :o with a Yoshi too

Yeah wonkey linked videos of the dude that said that and he was skipping all the cutscenes and dialogue, I just thought it was interesting how he initially left out that little detail.

Also does anyone know when the preinstall for tekken 7 is?

31st at midnight I believe

From a scale of 1-100, how hard would it be for someone to learn Nina from scratch?

Lots of casual stage talk and VF vs Tekken talk.

I’ll just come back when the game launches.

Scale? No idea. But Tekken is a hard game, and Nina is supposedly one of the hardest characters to optimize.

I agree. It depends. On many variables. How much time you have to put into training. If you can absorb knowledge and apply it effectively, easily. It’s one thing to run through her move list. But it’s another thing to apply it effectively in live-play. What’s easy for one person maybe hard for another.

For example: I want to learn king effectively. But I know his move list is one of the most stacked in the cast. I could learn him easily if I had the time and patience. Especially if I knew a good king player that’s willing to play you and drop some friendly knowledge along the way. But I adult pretty hard and time is short for me. And it would probably show if we played against each other.

To play at a high lvl she is about an 80.

Ur on the wrong site if u actually wanna learn how to play the game better off going elsewhere tbh

Wasn’t this a clip of him testing out a prototype for Saint’s lever by samducksa/crown?

His movement looks so effortless.

80!?

I’m out.
