I don’t think that’s the case for Zafina. Because Zafina has nothing to do with Islam, America will probably have no security concern regarding her entry. I asked a friend of mine (one of the best Tekken players in Norway) about learning this game and my issues with understanding the up-close game of Tekken, and his response was “screw the up-close game, just stick to footsies. Tekken is pretty much all footsies”.

Thoughts on that advice? Or, really, any ideas on how to approach the up-close game compared to how it works in 2D-fighters?

Tekken isn’t all footsies. Moverment jin general is the best thing to learn, but ya still gotta do ssfe strings into SS and BDCs

Tekken after 4 is more about movement, launchers (including bound hop kick and low parry), and juggles. Pokes are very limited outside of 6BR.
