He’s been having those mechanical noises whenever he moves around since Tekken 6. Just now more pronounced, I guess (that and people aren’t super rushdown-happy, so other sounds are able to be heard).
Nina, please be released soon…
Here’s hoping we get Zafina.
Kazumi gameplay trailer
love how they made her a pure karate fighter, well plus tiger assist.
LOL Harada.
Mama Mishima is playable now. So… here is list of what we can actually see in the video:
Spoiler
(Note. Some of the notes that are presented here may already be showcased due to other experiencing her boss battles).
-
Kazumi has a seemingly useful SS3… 1+2? … I couldn’t tell. Because she was side walking rather than side stepping but whatever the move was, it left her with some frame advantage on the Heihachi practitioner.
-
Summons an actual tiger to attack for her, acting like a projectile… this would imply that Kazumi can threaten opponents from longer distances if the said opponent is being too reckless (or stupid).
-
Kazumi can fly backwards… it looks like Astral Projectile done in reverse. This can potentially annoy aggressive players that rely on zero-range strategies.
-
Clearly has the tradition i10 frame 112. Good punish. Knockdown. Unsafe on block. Hit confirmable. Leads to potential mix up… and… you know the deal.
-
Appears to have a safe(ish) mid punch string for two hits (it would have probably been a unfinished part of a string).
-
Has a string that “acts” like Kazuya’s df12 but it starts with a 3 (kick) input. The second hit is probably a high that is plus frames on block. The second hit will knockdown. The notation for this move is probably df31…
-
Apparently, Kazumi’s little tiger buddy can be used to kill people for staying on the ground for too long (lol, it was spinning around like Sonic the Hedgehog). This move is more than likely linear as well and should probably be used against opponents who lie on the ground.
-
On with the subject of tigers, it seems like her tiger buddy has several situational uses.
-
Has a very nasty looking ws2 launcher… or a different sort of cd2… (it looked like a ws2) … so if she blocks a low that is obviously unsafe, you can kiss your health bar goodbye.
-
In that juggle combo she performs after that ws2/cd2, it looks like a 32 input and by the way she “hops” towards the opponent, it could possibly be a low crush string… not too sure about this.
-
Kazumi’s has a rather unorthodox ws44 and she used it to (somehow) “punish” the second hit of Heihachi’s CD44
-
… Minor note about Heihachi… what’s going on with his Hell Sweep? The second hit of CD44 was actually safe(ish) on block (specifically, the second hit of Heihachi’s CD44 was -10 on block). But, I guess it got nerfed at some point. Because, Kazumi punished it. Unless, the Heihachi practitioner just refused to block Kazumi’s ws44. As a Hei player myself, I’m a tad confused by this. Because, the second hit of Heihachi’s cd44 low was safe. The first hit of Hell Sweeps was supposed to be launch punishable!
-
The tiger was used as a Power Crush… same one that was used for okizeme earlier in the video.
-
Well… looks like Sagat has competition. She has a “Tiger Uppercut”. In her case, she actually summons a REAL tiger while smacking the opponent with the leaping uppercut.
-
Based, on how that “Tiger Uppercut” works, that would imply that she does have a crouching dash… but it may not “function” the same way as the other Mishima’s do. This is not confirmed yet. Or… she does have traditional CD but the moves from it are not orthodox or similar to the Mishima players.
-
Ha, ha, ha… insult to injury, she can combo after her “Tiger Uppercut”.
-
Rage Art is moderately fast but does not seem to have that much range.
Nothing Follows
GILF!
Why does she look younger than her grandson Jin? The tiger summoning has sold me on her, if I get this game she will be my main.
It will obviously have something to do with being the originator of the Devil Gene in her family (Jinpachi, Heihachi or Lars do not possess it). Beyond that I’ve only read speculations as to the true cause but haven’t been able to find a definitive story for her background.
Harada-san stated that she isn’t really human anymore.
The fact that she died relatively young and @Snowman 's insight on Devil Gene also has something to do with it.
EDIT:
Typo. Autocorrect = Top Tier.
Insert stupid ass twitch emote here.
If I had to hazard a guess, if she is infact deceased then this is some kind of Lich powered by the devil gene. But that’s just my guess and I could be WAAAAAAAAAY off.
Botox, duh.
i like how kazumi isn’t too overpowered and broken-looking (which may NOT be the case when it gets released) from the get-go. would be nice if her final form can be playable too, miss me some ogre/true ogre cheapness lol.
Kazumi tomorrow I believe. I hope Kurokuro does another day 1 stream like he has done.
All we need for Tekken 7 is Jun.
Like Kazuya returned in Tekken 4, Jun could return somehow in this game. If not here, but 8.
The capoeira fighters will be tough. It’s time Christie’s story changed.

It appears we are done for characters as of right now.
I wonder if Harada will post something on twitter to confirm if there will be more characters just a little later down the line? People are flipping their tables at the possibility this could be it and their main character is now no longer apart of it.
I think the break will be good, gives them time to work on stages (I hope!) and fine tune the characters they currently have.
Make sure ya’ll are keeping track of this stream! Kazumi is tossing Tiger’s at people right now!
Some more smaller notes about Mrs. Mishima
Spoiler
- The second hit of 32 is probably plus frames on block as it is mid, high.
- That “Rolling Tiger” input is 1+4. (The tiger rolls in front of Mrs. Mishima. Potential good whiff punisher and okizeme option).
- The “Rushing Tiger” input is 2+3. (The tiger just travels forward, lunging at the opponent. Another good whiff punisher).
- ff3 another safe mid knee to the opponent’s mid section.
- ff2… a safe looking mid. Based on what I am seeing on the Kurokuro stream above and that one video, Kazumi’s pressure game is potentially top notch (which makes sense, considering what her last name implies when individuals have Tekken on their mind).
- She has Hell Axle.
- Astral Projection (if it is called that) is forward+3+4. Her ff3 can apparently go into Astral Projection.
- f+3+4~2 follow up. Nasty mid hitting punch that cause forward leaning crumple. Free combo.
- f+3+4~1 follow up. High uppercut punch that will launch the opponent.
- f+3+4~42 follow up. Low, mid. Standing spinning low to a mid smash attack.
- f+3+4~1+2 follow up. Double fisted smash to the opponent mid section. Knockdown.
- f+3+4~f+1+2 follow up. Unblockable (and telegraphed) mid.
- CD12, Mid, Mid. Mid section swipe to a secondary punch that knocks down. The second hit is unsafe.
- The Tiger Uppercut is CD2.
- df3 is a safe looking mid side kick.
- d12… works like Paul’s d12 (and formerly Heihachi’s d12, yet he stopped having that move by the time Tekken 6 came around).
- Possesses a ridiculous looking 3 hit low string. db234. First input starts off like Heihachi’s db2
- db1+2 = a crush moves. Definitely plus frames on hit.
- Has Kazuya’s db4.
- b12 starts off as a crush move. A high punch and then a mid punch. Second input would probably be unsafe.
- Reversed Astral Projection is b (or backx2) +3+4.
- Speaking of Hell Axle, she has a third hit that is a punch notation. uf341.
- uf343 is a Screw Attack.
- Has a hop kick
- ff4 acts like the other Mishima’s ff3 and seems to launch opponents naturally.
- bf214 acts like Devil Jin’s Laser Cannon / Laser Scraper series. The last input is a high.
- bf212 (or 1+2) cause the Tiger to show up and smack the opponent again.
- ws12 is a quick decent ws punisher that will knock the opponent down.
- Has a ws2 launcher
Be sure to watch that stream!
