Iwar2 actually gave Rangchu a run for his money. Our boy is making Norway proud.
I really liked the difference of styles on display in the Ryan vs Rip match. A TTT/T5DR champ with insane movement, vs a very poke heavy top T6 player who was very successful once he used the up close game to shut Ryan down. Cool to see a style clash like that, and see how the differences in the games they each succeeded in has influenced their gameplay.
I thought rip was good his problem is that he didnt play consistently solid enough to win he would do it and then go back to the gimmicks. ryan was unbelievable and really took every but of opportunity with fantastic movement. when rip whiffed or was unsafe he capitalized and eventually worked his full game into the match once he set the pace.
rip gave away games and just generally didnt punish consistently . too many times he would leave free damage on the table and instead used the minus frames to orchestrate a setup. thats not bad but sometimes take the damage and the +frames I thought the seventh game where it was 4-2 was a pivotal point where rip couldve closed it and kept in contact instead he goes for a terribly placed uf 3+4 lost the round and then lost the game. just killed his own momentum now its 5-2 and then the next game he just got steamrolled and now its 6-2. the likelihood of you catching up is like at .00001% he didnt win another game till it was 7-3 and the set just closed after that.
There’s an online Tekken league going on on PC for the nordic countries. I advanced to the as-of-yet highest division yesterday by rampant abuse of hopkicks and backswing blows.
Because why win through immaculate spacing, timing and punishment when I can just press db3 when my opponent’s plus? :V
Arslan is ft10ing players in SEA on Kurokuro’s stream right now. His set vs Knee was one for the ages.
Edit: new ft10 between them now omg
Nordic Tekken League going on now.
Michael Murray is the head of the Tekkem franchise now.
Wonder if he is going to get the “Don’t ask me for shit” shirt from Harada
i really wonder how this will turn out for the franchise. with harada being still on top with his new position he might be at least there for some more years to overwatch things.
Decided to actually spend some time trying to rank up, was lucky enough to meet people who were actually willing to play longer sets, so I went from Savior yesterday to Revered Ruler today. Probably trying to get Fujin within the week, that’s when the actual good players start showing up on regular basis, apparently.
combo breaker starting today, dont forget to tune in.
Really great Top8!
ed: since this shit forum software doesnt allow more then 3 replies i edit it in here
astro gaming pumping 100k into the tekken world tour
Lee S2 stuff
Entered my first singles tournament in over a year last week and went the usual 2-2 again in, but yesterday I entered a 19 man tournament, some of the bigger names didn’t enter and I was able to make it to winner’s final and ultimately get 3rd place, my first time ever getting top 3 at a local singles.
Played like 6 matches and all but the first one was streamed. I’ll link it here later to share.
Will check it out later.
Also, if someone wants to see some hot, steamy Mishima family action:

Akira or Jacky in Tekken?
(I’d love to see Shun actually)
Been very frustrated with my Leo lately, to the point that I decided to get my Feng back in shape. I’ve improved so much with that character for the past two weeks that I’m going to use him at our next dojo event in a week. Feng suits how I want to play Tekken much better than Leo does, in spite of the two characters being resonably similar, so even though my Leo is probably still better (particularly when it comes to block punishment), I’m enjoying Feng a lot more atm.
Seeing Chikurin vs Pakistan is an eye opener. We all knew that region was good, but this was something else. Jeez.
