outside of some jolo “dp´s” he did really well.
In other news, the tournament I held yesterday had a production team make a little skit. One of the guys of that team used to play Bryan in T6, so he dressed up like Bryan and entered the tournament. Was pretty fun.
We also had a 10v10 exhibition going. I played like shit but my team won. Got 9th at the tournament due to an hilariously easy bracket, and lost as soon as I met someone good (which, to be fair, were two of the best players here).
I’m feeling like I’m plateauing atm. Not sure what I’m lacking to get past that hill. Pretty frustrating.
based on the stream you pointed out to the last time. you really need to learn how to punish stuff propperly in certain matchups. its one thing to pick a char up, learn his moves so that you get familiar with what he can do and how to punish/defend against it. since you have a local scene you have the benefit of being able to narrow the amount of chars down to the mains of said people you struggle against.
Yeah, my defense and punishment is shoddy. Especially when I’ve been messing around with alts too much, my punishment goes completely out of the window then. What you saw on that stream was pretty much why I’m frustrated, Feng is a matchup I used to feel completely comfortable in (vs that particular player, too) and know fairly well on paper, but that doesn’t help when I’m as sloppy as I was back there and keep playing like that over a long period of time.
It’s more than that though. And that’s where I really feel lost. Something more than that is missing.

After retiring as the masked fighter Jaycee, Julia concentrated fully on expanding her reforestation efforts around the globe, far from the fighting scene. But her project quickly needed money. Finding it difficult to secure backers, Julia was forced to return to the fight far sooner than she had wanted. Seeking one final fight, she made it her mission to beat Kazuya Mishima. Doing so, she theorised, would gain the global attention, and subsequent funding, that her project required.

The Walking Dead’s Negan, the charismatic leader of the Saviors, brought other communities together under his thumb with the motto “people are a resource.” One day, Negan received reports that an unknown group had taken out several of his men. Per his standard policy, he enacted a plan to capture and make an example of them. The survivors fell into Negan’s carefully laid trap, but, just as he was choosing his victim to serve as an example, the group put up an intense fight and escaped. Negan worried they would disturb his new world order if he did not deal with them swiftly. Taking his barbed-wire bat Lucille - named after his beloved wife - into his hand, he set out to take care of these foolish ingrates who would challenge his authority.
Hopefully, I can try to make a tutorial for Julia Chang soon
After playing mostly on ps4 and then switching to PC.
I finally got three characters to Genbu (Katarina, Devil Jin, Kazuya) yesterday. This is probably not that meaningful and I’m sure others are much higher here, but this is a hard skill level in my region imo. I’m at about 200 ranked wins for DJ, about 50 for katarina and 120 for Kazuya. Katarina is so much easier to rank up with.
I used to beat Genbu’s a lot with my green and orange ranks. I’m finally in a rank that represents my skill level.
Other than that, I’m very excited Julia is finally coming out. She’s going to get a lot of fanboys and I don’t like her voice and personality, but for those who haven’t played her, just wait until you land some elbows and shoulders to end your combos. Her moves feel crisp as well.
And watching Arslan was amazing. His Kazumi is off the charts and really inspired me to pick her up again.
Arslan inspired me to mess around with Kazumi too, heh. It’s a success so far, she allows me to boil things down to the essentials and forces me to play solid rather than trying to steal games. She’s also super fun to move with, her backdash is amazing. Gonna take a break from Leo and invest some more time in Kazumi, maybe that’ll even help my fundamentals a bit.
Her backdash really is amazing. I love her standard karate stance too.
My vanquisher Kazumi ran into a mighty ruler Paul yesterday and I demolished him 3-0 very quickly and proceeded to win quit lol.
I think you will like Julia if you like Leo, they both have a bit of Baji Quan in their style.
Glad to see this forum somewhat active again!
2019 has been a good start to me tournament wise. our first monthly in January I lost in the very first round but I won 6 straight matches to make it all the way to grand finals where I placed second.
this monthly which took place yesterday I won! all those sessions off and online with good players really helped alot and finally paid off! I ran jin the whole way through.
Day 1 reports of the new characters seem to indicate that Negan seems kinda unimpressive(day 1 impressions ofc so take it with a pinch of salt), and Julia seems to shit out damage and has absurd wall carry. Apparently her punish game is also really good if you can do ff-inputs out of blockstun.
I’m gonna do some Julia-testing when I get home from work.

EDIT:
This happened.
God damn it’s good to have Julia back.
All my matches are ending in about 20 seconds or less.
Got her from Vanquisher to Genbu in about 30 wins.
My combo attempt
Sick combo video
Julia is dope. Fun to play and seems to have a pretty interesting execution curve, in that her suboptimal stuff is good and her optimal stuff is bonkers but requires good execution. I’m definitely investing some time into her.
Japan vs Korea 10v10 running now.
people are really quick this time on creating video content
i hadnt even time to really look into them.
I can’t believe Julia’s b1 is a CH launcher now. Killing scrubs is going to be really fun this time around.
Meanwhile, Geese Howard starts giving Eddy the business and people start getting hype.
