man death matches are so much fucking fun when people actually want to do them
i got demoted of off juggernaut with heihachi to 2 eddy losess that matchup is as hard as it looks but people are so wack lol it took alot when i finally ran into someone that almost got me down again (fuck eliza) for now but the adaptation and fundamentals kicked in and I was able to clinch it and get my juggernaut rank back after getting it from a lars
I want to get into orange ranks bad but its taking me so long to find people to actually do it.
same for devil jin
That frame data mod is really useful when learning new characters. Definitely gonna use it now on practice mode. This game really needs a feature like that on practice mod. Not much of a fan of checking my cellphone for frame data info or alttabing on the game.
Man, every time I get freed up by some dude online, and I go to practice mode after to check out what their characters have, I get mad angry.
Got bodied by some Lee player, go to practice mode and find out that 70% of the moves he used are bollocks.
Same dude that bodies me with Hwoarang every fucking time, but with Lee I can at least remember how the moves look like.
And here I am trying to not use bullshit moves with my Paul anymore like ff+2,2 knowing itās bs and leads to me eating a low parry every time, getting bodied by a dude that just does random strings that can net me 28 damage and several launchers every time I block them.
Learning this game is a tall fucking order.
Next match Iāll try to apply the punishes and hopefully stick a fist up his ass permanently soon.
You have to get a bit more abstract against Hwoarang.
Either BDC out of range of flamingo mixups, or if you are forced to guess, itās really mid vs high/low. Just be ready with the punish.
If they always use specific moves, youāll just have to memorize if some of them can be SS.
Iron rule of Tekken: Abuse whatever lets you win. Donāt let it surprise you when someone has shitty defense.
I told 725 I was bad against slow lows now since Iām out of practice. So he uses Steveās shitty d/b+2.
What do I do? I get hit by it. Then I block it. Itās only -12, so when I hopkick itās doesnāt work. Iāve been able to block his low on reaction and punish it wrong.
I should be low parrying. Just gotta practice. Simple, easy steps to fix my issue.
Same with kBob, just gotta spend more time. Hwoarang has an unusual moveset that many kbobs rely on to defeat their opponents.
You know, yesterday I played a death match with a dude online. It was me with Kat (Fighter ) vs a Leo ( Marudarer ). We must have played like 30 games or maybe more cuz we kept trading wins back and forth intially but overtime I got a good 7 wins streak over him and took it.
Now that was crazy fun and I learned so much about Leo and how to fight her on the fly. I had to experiment with my punishes and memories her attacks all while we were playing. Toward the end I had a much easier time punishing him than I did at the start and that is why I won.
Now I see why these Asians dude are so great. If that is how you are constantly playing the game, then it is very likely that you will get really good. You get great chances to learn each character as you have extended sets with them.
Dude I wanna death match the entire roster. It is honestly the best way to learn.
Been playing Bryan and Hwoarang. I get so mad when I play a few games with Bryan and we are repeatedly rematching but then I go over to hwoarang, might win 1 and then lose or so, but people hardly rematch after they beat me.
My Bryan is like any other bryanā¦but he feels much more consistent than Hwoarang.
That feeling when your secondary is better than your main is maddening.
Going to try and learn Claudio eventually just so I can give my friendās ling a hard time.
My life as a Kazuya-player
Well, Iām more or less maining Leo now. Mishimas are still fun though, so Iāll keep Kaz and DJin in my back pocket for casuals.
Also, tourney drama in town. One of the bigger LANs in Norway asked if weād like to have a T7 tourney at their event. These are people we have bad experience with in the past; theyāve been disorganized as fuck and required us to provide the setups they claimed they had once, and theyāve failed to pay out price money more than once (both to local Tekken players, but also to international SFIV-players who weāve flown in). We confront them with these facts and ask how theyāve planned to resolve this?
Their response? The sensible thing would be to just say āyeah, we know, wonāt happen againā. What do they do instead? Delete the post, replacing it with āitād be sad for T7 if one angry post on the internet killed the gameā ĀÆ_(ć)_/ĀÆ
I feel the same way i think my devil should be better and after Wednesdays session with some other great players i started to understand neutral a little bit better but my hei has always gotten me more mileageā¦online, offline, in casuals and tournament/deathmatches
i think its because his playstyle is more easy bake then the rest of the mishimas aside from ws punishment
if they cant block db2 consistently enough you win or your chances shoot way high up
scrubs hate it and the wall game if you dont is so immense
with walls being closer ive won matches simply because people block f4 or crouch it with gives you a free twin pistons.
they love being at the wall apparently
