Anyone on PC US wanna play?
Aris restreaming a big T7 tournament
REV Major 2017 live stream ft. JDCR, Nobi, Saint, Take, Knee, Yuu, KuroKuro, Tanukana and more
>Naughty Senpai
Goddamn that name sounds familiar, It feels like i saw that name in USF4 steam
the thing about katarina players is that they donāt rematch, they winquit. They are more concerned with getting their rank up and are scared to get exposed.
Sheās definitely the tekken 3 Eddy.
Iāve been playing with Bryan today and I got him to Grand Master.
Heās fun and requires very little brain power in my opinion, good for when my head needs a break. But I donāt think I could ever feel like a bryan player
Watching REV Tekken tournament at the moment and iām slightly confused. I assumed that 1st match is random select. 2nd match the loser has the ability to pick a stage of choice.
However during REV all the matches have the stage as random select. Did the rules change, or is it specific for this tournament? Whatās the deal.
I prefer that the loser can pick a stage of choice to be honest as the 1st stage migth be in favour of one player/character.
made it to marauder rank today, kinda happy, although its just ultra silver rank for SFV players though
still, trying to improve
I think I found a way to get consistent damage from Leoās magic 4 without having to resort to that stupid frame perfect (?) dash jab she otherwise has to use: CH 4, d/f+3 t!, f+1+2. Not the greatest damage, the timing for d/f3 is finnicky and you get no pressure afterwards since the opponent gets blown far away, but itās still a step upwards from not getting conversions at all, and 51 damage from a i11 move is still nothing to scoff at.
edit: apparently itās not consistent across the board. Some characters require you to be off-axis for it to be consistent, only works 100% on a few characters on-axis.
Tekken 7 is full of bitches.
Just gonna have to wait until endless rematch is in ranked on pc, then sift through the legions of bitches, until I find somebody to do a deathmatch with me.
Until then Iāll have to do the same in quick matches.
Gonna be fun.
The deathmatches that is, not the bitches.
God damn it, thanks to this thread I always hear now ,Oscar Kazama, if I pick Asuka.
theres so many Kat online and our area has a alot of them
one placed in the last tournament so ive been learning the matchup whether I want to or not.
I got tired of having to block magic 4 and the follow ups because its such change in tempo from just blocking a regular one and is easy bake oven to combo off of and a great keep out tool.
I did about 10 rematches with a Kat earlier.
I won 7 of them and it took him a while before he stopped using magic 4 and hop kick tried to play and restrict himself but lacked the neutral and movement.
Side walk mostly right other then some of the df punch strings left
Training mode is a blessing
If you canāt block it and punish learn how to evade it.
oh the fear of demotions.
the demotions.
Demotions are no joke, I was playing the other day and for like 3 hours went back and forth from danger of demotion to promo chance until I finally got that sweet sweet promo Kreygasm
When I entered the UK Tour the rules were always Random only. I think because stages are so important, certain players may be able to put themselves at a bigger advantage picking a stage. e.g. King player picking Forgotten Realm.
Are you only allowed to pick Howrang, Paul, Bryan, Dragonuv online?
I think the other characters have to be locked or something because I have played 50 + matches today and not a single match was with anything outside of those 4. Oh yeah, there was 1 Devil Jin player.
Paul, Bryan and Dragunov are among the sickest characters in the game though.
I just see Homorangs, Eddys, Katarinas and Lilis with the occasional guest appearance by Josie
All Josieās for me
Those 4 can really run you over if you donāt know how to deal with them
Wr2, d2
Demo man, deathfist
Snake edge, B1
Hwoarangs low poke and armor tailspin shenanigans
Tourney report time.
tldr: I didnāt place well, but Iām still happy with my performance. Iām also now officially in a character crisis.
So I had three goals for this tourney:
- beat Phenom (heās a quite adept Mishima player and knocked me out of the last TTT2-tourney we held)
- cause a fairly large upset
- make top 8.
I managed the first two, and honestly didnāt expect to reach the third goal, so that wasnāt an issue.
I had been warming up before the tournament started, and realized there was no way Iād be able to play Kazuya well enough today because my electrics just didnāt click, so I went with Leo. I teamed up with guys who I knew by name but had never played with before for the 3v3-tourney. First match was, to my delight, against Phenomās team, and weāre both first out. His teammates includes Taokaka_Meow, who got top 8 at the nordic Tekken tour. The match starts, and Phenomās quite obviously got better movement than me, but he goes overzealous with lows and strings with highs in them and I manage to punish him for it, so I narrowly beat him. Next game was against a fairly strong Katarina-player. It goes down to the wire again, but I drop the game winning combo and end up losing. Our Steve manages to clean up, however. Still in winners, I face a Kazumi-player. Itās very even, and once again I drop the game-winning combo and end up losing with my opponent having one pixel left at the 5th round. The Kazumi player turned out to be really good, because he easily beats the rest of my teammates. The game in losers is against a long-time Bob player, who destroys me pretty handily, and though our anchor Steve-player cleans up most of the team, the Nina at the end wipes the floor with him. So weāre out, and we get to play casuals and watch matches in the meanwhile.
For singles, my first match is against a Kazuya player who was on the team that won the 3v3. To my pleasant surprise he doesnāt know the Leo-matchup at all, while I know quite a bit about how to approach playing against Kazuya as Iāve played him a lot, so I completely destroy him in the first game. He then switches to Feng and tries to play a lot wilder, and wins the next game, but I manage to clutch it out in a nailbiter, perfecting him the last round. I popped off, and several āwait you beat WHO?ā-comments followed. The next game I lose to an UNGA-Paul that has no idea what backdash canceling is and mostly just wanted to deathfist people. I face Phenom again in losers, and sadly he narrowly beats me in the runback. The rest of the tourney was a really good watch though, and the casuals afterwards were great.
Still, 2/3 goals was nice, and I know Iām not top 8 material yet, though I seriously believe I could get there; even the games I lost were incredibly close, and several veterans said they were seriously impressed by my play. This also brings me to my second point, in that I strongly doubt Iād get where I did with Kazuya. Even though I think heās more fun, heās just incredibly hard to win with, while Leoās an easier character in every way; not only is she more well-rounded and less risky, she also has one of the strongest scrub-killer moves in the game while Kazuya needs to work hard in order to beat even worse players. I do think I have benefited from playing Kaz because he teaches you to not push buttons and forces you to have good movement and punishment, but as someone correctly pointed out, I did lose several huge rounds on dropped combos, likely because my training mode time has gone towards Kaz. Considering that I think I have a genuine shot at doing well going forward I should probably stick to Leo, but Kaz is just so fun. Sigh.
Oh, and one of my teammates lost a game to a last-pixel rage art, yelled āOMG FUCK RAGE ARTSā, then accidentally managed to break a table. All of this got filmed. It was great.
Fuck Mishimas man, save it for casuals .
I like Devil Jin more than Hei and Kaz, but my Devil Jin is clearly the worst so I donāt play him.
Play Leo .
Iām at an offline meet up today in socal , and my panda has no chance compared to my hwoarang and ling.
My Panda is more consistent online and against scrubs ā¦on the other hand , my hwoarang is not as consistent but I have a higher skill ceiling so I play him.
I discovered Claudio is really damn good if you have the right play style .
