the best way to fight Xiaoyu is to just not respect her or give her any time to set up her stance game. if you can limit her to just simple pokes and keep her away from her more devastating mixup game, then youre winning.
I spent this entire Saturday getting fucked by a Ling-player (whoâs also one of the stronger players in Norway). What I took away from that set was that crouchjabs are great against her backturn stance, and everything else about the character is complete bullshit.
This is an honest, whiff punish game. There is no bullshit. Pick up Jack 7 and show her your honest poking and whiff punishing.
I just know my brother is happy because his favorite character is finally top tier again.
As a ling player the thing that makes her solid in this game other than her bullshit mixup and unblockable game (you wonât see many if any low level players do the backturned unblockables or crouch cancel lifter unblockable mixup). Is that she has an i14 natural launcher punisher and in general just has really great damage off a lot of fundamental situation. Her whiff punish game is legit almost on mishima level.
AOP = scary, back turned really isnât terrifying unless she has rage then its just a guess. AOP 4~3 at a high level turns into some of the most riskless fucked up mixups in the game.
In general right tech or stay grounded and take the OTG hit to get away. If they are whiffing dumb shit above you she really doesnât have many chains, so most of the time theyâll go for some OTG hit rather than some some slow rolled mixup.
That being said her poke game is garbage, with a shorter than normal 1 and slower than normal df+1 (though it high crushes). Go put her in AOP in training mode and learn what mids work / donât work then just use those moves a lot.
Struggle for a month with Kazuya, canât quite break into green ranks.
Go complete UNGA with Leo, get Brawler effortlessly after three hours of playing her in ranked, with an ~85% winrate.
Man.
Also why the fuck are there so few Leo-players? I really donât get it.
probably because he/she isnt the most fun/flashy character to play with even though its easy to see why she/he is top tier with his/her almost instant KDs from combos.
Not flashy? Agreed.
Not fun? Bitch does fucking everything and is good at everything too. Unless you need gimmicks to make it through your day, you can always find a way to play her thatâll suit you.
Also, what do you mean with âalmost instant KDs from combosâ? You talking about her ability to spike people at the end of wall combos because of u+3+4?
i really hope that they add country informations in the opponent pop up so that i can filter certain countrys out which i always
have a bad connection with no matter the bars shown up in every fighting game.
yeah, something like that. ive seen top tier play of him/her where he/she will end a 2 punch combo with what looks like a 1 inch punch and send them flying to the other side of the screen. its sick. Leo reminds me alot of Elliot from DOA, who was also considered a top tier pick because of his strong and compact style.
Had an insane session today against a Nina. She is even more aggressive than ling in my opinion. another under the radar character.
edit: also master ravenâŚfuck everyone is good.
>change in revenge match restrictions
whats that i wonder
Thanks god. Was hoping they was gonna do something bout this input lag. They can fix that 2/3 shit and other stuff at a later date input lag is more important
Nina has always been gd but she is one of the harder character to play well and her combos r harder than most.
have they added 2 out of 3 for ranked ? I hope they have
They are saying that you can rematch as many times as you want in ranked. That is what is written in that article
Yeah, well, the character with the most tournament success thus far (Jack) is considered bottom 5 in Japanese / Korean tier lists. And I donât think anyone would ever say that heâs a bad character.
Though I suspect Jack is quite overrepresented just because the old men donât have time / canât be bothered practicing the more execution heavy characters anymore. The gameâs tough even with the simple characters.
if you read this and donât know by now that their fucking around with a lot of updates then I donât know what to say
That is so good.
Now I can play ranked as much as I want, if I find an opponent whoâs down to play a long set.
guess harada was smoking crack when he saw my tweet regarding that video Liang posted
Lmao
nina is a good character its just that she has almost no range
her best approach option is db2 and thats slow. She has a rough time with people like jack because he can space out certain moves that are unsafe and if you dont have the perfect punish then you are gonna get fucked.
once she gets in shes a monster safe pokes, cancellable strings good movement options great punishment and good damage
she just has to get in and picking her up takes constant practice
shes not a bike if you dont use her youll lose it.
