TEKKEN 7 | Lounge

most of the cast has move that hits grounded if they play dead or are lying on the ground so that it flips them over and you can pursue again

oki is simplified if anything else
if your on the ground and im devil jin ill just steel pedal you all day till you wake up

it’s been awhile and I’m not 100 % positive on the notation but this is what it feels like what I do it.

pad:

B~b, n, db, n, b, n, db, n, b.

stick:

b~b, n, db~b, n, db~b, ,n db~b etc.

this is kind of like qcb~b method, but instead of doing like a full reverse fireball, think about it (I’m going to use a 2D analogy) like you’re doing repeated reverse fireballs but only within the corner of the stick.

i would actually do exactly that but of course in a respectfull manner…he replys to stuff people post to him…even some stupid stuff :stuck_out_tongue:
on steam there is a community manager but i am not sure how much influence he has or if he even care to collect feedback and
present it to the devs…

We’ll have more detailed info to share soon about this patch.

Next week: a similar patch to the PS4 version will be released on PC and Xbox One to address online stability and bug fixes.

Quick work. Good on them.

Also, I think I’ve found my playstyle in T7. I feel way more comfortable playing rushdown with Lars than I do defensively, though I need to force myself to do it because I’m defensive naturally. Maybe it’s because my defense is terrible.

Nice overview.

I need to try out Lili, she was my T6 main.
But Josie intermediate? I thought she was fairly simple from what I’ve seen so far.

Played some Heihachi, Katarina, Master Raven and Nina.

Even did some online matches with the last three, especially with Master Raven. Fun character.

Basically I like all the characters I tried so far, lul.

It might change once you get movement down
You wont understand defensive play in tekken until you become accustomed and real confident with your movement
a sidestep into launch after a good read is so satisfying

Josie seems simple from what I’ve seen
I picked up M Raven recently
you have to be really good with spacing playing master raven
high risk high damage character
no high damage combos from a practical low
Very flashy though

Yeah, Josie is pretty straight forward imo.

That’s why I am still uncertain. I like Master Raven in terms of gameplay and I especially like her looks. I found some 70 dmg combos but only from slow/unsafe launchers.
Even managed to get a few wins with her online, but it annoys me a bit that she turns her back to the opponent sometimes. This is blowing me up a lot lol.

I think I need more straight forward simple characters for now. Like Josie or Katarina, to learn the game.

Also how ā€œdifficultā€ is Eliza? Any opinions?

Josie is simpel, but I feel her damage is a bit underwhelming.
I use with her the Combo I found day one after 5 minutes of labtime.
Yesterday I had a Josie mirror and the guy I fought did a much longer Combo, that did the same amount of damage as my own and was allmost twice as long.
You play mostly midrange with Josie, she lacks a Sweep like most others, but df+3, can be a nice tool to use, especialy if you mix it wiht her follow up, but it’s unsafe on block… then again it gives you a full juggel on hit, so it has it’s risk/reward.
B+4 has a lot range, it’s nice to poke with. Now that I think about it, her lows seem kinda weak, maybe it’s just me.

Been playing some Asuka again, I was salty that all the Combos I did with her since T6 were basicly removed since they removed bounces. But I found the replacemeant after a while. She still feels natural to play for me, but lacks the exitemeant and ā€œcrackingā€ counter Jun had in Tag2.
btw. When’s Jun?

Also, my gf just bought Tekken 7 for PS4 yesterday, I decided to claim the PS4 for me today and play a bit ranked. Ended up with Warrior and a 52 Winstreak, now the bad news, she decided to main Lucky Chloe instead of Heihachi/Paul like usual.
fml

lmfao at hosts rage quitting their own tournaments wtf.

If you didn’t already know
When your back is turned, hold DB
They’ll crouch dash backwards out of backturn

if you want a real straight forward character, Jack or Paul are as straight forward as you can get

they need to fix this asap

Re posting this for new players .

Top 15 moves for all characters .

zafina, marduk and bruce are missing too. i feel lei has been very underrated in the later installments post-T3 as he hasn’t been as improved like other characters such as the Jacks or dragunov. not a lot of pro players even use him outside of tourneys [let alone seeing a pro player use him competitively] but fuck if i know what harada and crew are thinkiing.

Marduk on the other hand was only mentioned along with the current Armor King in King’s T7 story bios, being currently hospitalized after what happened in their T6 endings.

Speaking of missing Lei & Bruce, there’s none of the Tekken 2 characters around this game. Lei’s presence is too important for T2 representative, like Steve who is the only T4 representative for now.

so ranked allows just two matches instead a best of 3?

yea
it sucks lol

My defense is terrible.
I never know when it’s my turn, I get checked by every low and if I happen to block one by chance, I miss the while rising launcher punish.
The only matches I win are those where I get two lucky Phoenix Smashers and a Demolition Man in.

Back to the training room.

Whats everyone think of Paul? Been trying out characters and he seems like a lot of fun. Might learn him alongside King

seriously. ive missed out on them coins cause of salty hosts.

Loving Tekken 7 but wish they had their extra game mode for in game money.
Also wish the online was stable from the beginning so new players can pick up the game more easily.

Can we get more people in the Tekken scene is the bigger question. We need more people interested in this game.

I am a Tekken veteran and played since TTT. The game can be a bit hard for beginners compared to say SF.
