Hello this is my first post, I came to this forum looking for information about this stick that I bought a few weeks ago on eBay and just received it, and for my surprise it didn’t came with the dongle, so I would like to ask if anyone who has moded this stick to work with a USB cord would sell the dongle to me, pretty please u.u this is my first stick and It’s so frustrating to not be able to play with it…heck I don’t even know if it works
Edit, since looks almost impossible to find one, is there a simple mod to make it work as a wired stick instead of relying on the receiver dongle?
You could just slot in a new PCB, though a stick with the buttons soldered onto the board like the wireless T6 is harder to work on than others.
That said, if you can, you really should try talking to the seller to see if it was a mistake (or if they screwed you and if there’s any action you can take).
I’ve modded one in the past, I used a PS3 sixaxis axisadapter to make it Bluetooth and rechargable. That stick will eat up some batteries! You’ll need a PCB from a PS3 controller, dual shock or original sixaxis. The adapter may still be available but only in the UK so it’ll cost some to ship.
Any other variants? I don’t mind making it wired instead of relying on batteries, could I use a ps2 clone board for example? I have a really good adaptor that has virtually no input lag and works on pc and ps3
It’s a really tight space in there but it’s possible, I ruined the battery pack compartment to fit a USB cord through it when it was time for a recharge or synching, but kept the door intact. I think it’s possible to drill a hole large enough to fit a Neutrik USB passthrough.
I removed the button PCB board and added Sanwa pushbuttons, had to bend the metal down to get them to fit, wiring wasn’t too bad.
I didn’t do much with the joystick, didn’t feel like shaving a bunch of plastic down to get a Sanwa to fit.
I haven’t checked but there were a couple of forums on SRK on this topic (years ago) before they announced SRK was gonna close.
