Could anyone gimme a update on the T6 online patch? been busy playing Modern Warfare 2 online. Is the patch still crap or its improved alot? thoughts?

you can kinda do combo’s now, but not the super in depth combos like steve’s combo that uses ws+1,2 as bound (we’ll at least i can’t seem to do it)

Yeah the netcode is better. Nearly SFIV quality now. If I get somebody with 4 or 5 bars there isn’t much issue and you can clearly see the bars during a match. So if you are fighting somebody with 4 or 5 bars and all of a sudden during the match the connection blows you can tell something went wrong with their connection during that match. I can do pretty much all of my more advanced juggles and sidestep effectively without much hitch in a consistent 5 bar connection. There’s still a couple frames of delay but you have to account for that in every fighting game you play online. It’s just now finally when ur in a strong connection you can expect an attack or movement to come out nearly the instant you press it.
I mean it didn’t really help everything just because of the fact that in America we live so far away from each other and most people still have sub par internet connections. So most of the matches you see are going to be one or 2 bars. Like there was this one room I was in where a bunch of scrubs that all had 1 or 2 bar connections were complaining that they couldn’t beat this one guy who wasn’t that good but better than they were. He was actually pulling off juggles in a 1 bar connection against the other 2 scrubs and they were flipping their nuts. I tried to tell them the only reason they were getting hit by his crap was because the connection was terrible (and that they sucked) but since they were scrubs they just assumed he was being “cheap”. :lol:
Oh and good matches Dandy. We’ll have to play more once I find room on my friends list.
Should I buy Tekken 6? I never really bothered to play either 6 or BR in the arcades for the past two years. But I’m not playing any fighting games right now and I would like to make some sort of comeback.

WTF? There’s like no reason not to buy this game. All of the random people who took the game back cuz it was laggy online or wanted that MW2 money are making the game dirt cheap for you to purchase. I hear you can’t find it for any more expensive that like 40 bucks now. Especially with how great the core gameplay is (one of the most balanced Tekken games of the series) it will definitely hold you over. I really like how the game is much more offensive oriented than SFIV and how defensive play requires you to think just as fast as when ur offense. There’s a lot of things you have to react too quickly even on the defensive and that allows for smarter play IMO. Plus there’s a ton of characters for a lot of variety and play styles. You’ll find it hard to main just one character.

Finding matches is a hassle. Fight request mode should be in every fighting game from now on.
As far as buying the game…sure, why not? It’s pretty cheap now for a new game.
If you like high risk/high reward mix-ups, you’ll love T6.
Yeah , if you’re getting cause of patch- get new copy. If Namco has long-term sales spike from this, they’ll know that they lost money cause of shitty netcode and that better netcode= profits for them.

Yeah Namco has figured it out by now I’m sure that shitty netcode won’t fly anymore in the states. They can get away with it in Japan where people live small parts of an island away from each other but in America it really hurts especially when people’s connections aren’t optimal. It’s funny to see how many people have shitty connections when half of the people you enter a room with still have 1 and 2 bar connections with you. :lol: Just like SFIV you have your good and your bad connections but the good connections are actually good now.
Anyone who plans on buying this game should jump on this deal. I have a feeling Tekken 6 won’t be this low for at least another 6 months.

Given Tekken’s sales issues, $20 after the holidays is likely, unless a ton are sold before xmas, like 1-1.5 mil or so.
Worth buying now to support the game though, now that Namco redeemed themselves.
online is stil shitty for this game give me real comp any day
