It’s a good date to release- it’s about six months after SFIV so that game will start cooling down among casuals then.
You’d also have time to milk some DLC out before Christmas- and that’s what Namco loves to do.
Should I buy Tekken 5 DR to get ready for Tekken 6? or is Tekken 6’s gameplay way different
System changes are very different. You can get a general feel of the game if you’re not too familiar with Tekken with DR but Bound and all the new moves each character has changes the way most of them are played for the most part.
If you have the cash, definitely. At the very least you can practice wavedashing and backdash canceling.
You can definitely learn a few of the basics from DR, but for higher level play in 6 you really need to nail down those bound combos, which you can’t practice on DR.
Still worth the money though. 
All I know is Kaz better have a better followup after a low parry.
You fall into Bound state after LP’s now, so he should be able to get good damage now.

The fighting will, the characters will…but the music is…well, aside from ONE STAGE, [media=youtube]gCySTWFcnlM&feature=related"[/media] what I think of the rest of it…
Several stages have pretty good BGM, not as good as T4, but close. I just don’t care for the two new characters. What’s Lars fighting style? Alisia using chainsaws for attacks? bleh.

T4’s tracks were hella smooth and mello. To be expected since you’re fighting in malls, airports, plazas, beaches, etc. T6 is in a chaotic warzone. These tracks fit imo and some of them really hype up the fight.
Isn’t Lars a commando/super-soldier? I don’t know the official name for it yet but I call it Drag-Mishima lol. I don’t care for Alisa at all and while I don’t want to play Lars or anything, I would like to know his story and play AGAINST Lars players. Should be interesting.
I’m not feelin’ it…sorry…both Tekken 3’s, Tekken Tag Arcade, Tekken 4, and Tekken 5 (except for poolside and moonlit wilderness), and 5DR (except for pink pop) had amazing soundtracks…6 and 6BR so far are just really bad to me…

lars is a bastard child of hei, so im assuming some bastardized mishima style (jin/drag/raven). as for alisa… she is a cyborg, fuck at least she isnt using laser beams. now a gorilla would be nice but that could be a custom skin for the bears ha…
For the mostpart, I don’t like a lot of the OST too (City Night, Graveyard, Town Squre especially) . But some tracks (Fountain, Warzone, Boss Stage) are alright. However, there is no denying that the techno-yodel is hilarious. :looney:
How are drag and raven similar to mishimas?
As good as T4? Hell, I’m still waiting for us to get BGM as good as Tekken 2.
Im waiting for each character to have their own bgm again…:3 <3 yoshimitsu stage in ps2 TTT.
