She’s tops due to strongass movement coupled with strong whiff punish, apparently.
I’m inclined to agree. I always try to work a strong movement+whiff punishing game in Tekken. And it worked in T3 and TTT, but as they kept nerfing movement in each game, it was less and less effective. Then T6 comes out and I switched to Alisa and I’m doing the same thing I’ve been doing but I’m getting wins again.
I’ve seen that Alisa player on Tekken Crash chip away half life worth of damage with just d/b+3. Sometimes he wins matches without doing a single juggle.
I wonder if anybody noticed, but don’t the ghosts in arcade mode seem much harder than the ghost battle ones. I can play ten straight matches in Ghost battle without a single loss just fine, but in arcade, I really have to be trying.
Oh… WHIFFED sweep? I thought you were going to crush it.
uf4 can’t consistently crush it because that stupid sweep goes under some mids at certain parts of its animation. The same goes for her BT d3+4 sweep. Goes right under Bob’s df4 mid kick.
I played it for an hour and it was pretty solid port gameplay wise. The only bad things about it was the character portraits were made with MS Paint and the record feature still isn’t in practice mode, and some of the other features that were in PSP DR isn’t there(Tekken Dojo for one). Haven’t gotten a chance to mess around with ghosts and ad hoc play yet, but if you’re on the go alot and have a PSP and 40 bucks to spend, get it.
The PSP port isn’t half bad, but there’s a few things different gameplay wise I think. I’m finding the timing required for inputs a few frames stricter. On the arcade and console versions, doing fb+2,1 for bound with Lars is easy, I input it really lazily, but on the PSP version, you have to input it a bit later and faster.
Also, what brings my piss to a boil is that there is no option to switch to 2P side, you are stuck on 1P side forever. The PSP version of DR had this option, they didn’t feel like adding it in this version for some damn reason.
You know what, I’ve noticed that too. Playing Lars today, I was trying to pull off his iSW after a B!, and it required to be more precise with the timing.
The tournament was full of scrubby button mashers…I couldn’t enter though…he gave out 2 prizes…Mass Effect and ODST…if I entered, I probably would have sold both of those games. Even though Mass Effect would have got like…13 dollars or some bullshit.
