It would definitely be fun to have around, I wanna get my hands on the team mode, don’t see myself using it much in the future offline.
lol ya i know , my laptop froze and posted that a couple of minutes late
just got the platinum trophy. probably one of the easier ones to get. I got it right after beating Anna in millennium tower, I was using nancy just to rack up the kills and Anna was the 2000th kill. Now I need to figure out who else I wanna customize. I finished kind and A. King and now I’m sitting on 30 million G. lol
and I also played some more online today, and I must say I had a better experience. had 1 super input laggy game, the rest still had some but definitely more playable than my first time. So I guess it’s really hit or miss.
after actually fishing for a green room online earlier, it’s more a hit/miss. I had some good clean matches sometimes, then others were just enough delay/lag/slowdown to just poke with Lee’s lows for the quick win.
still, I think i’m just gonna run through SC so I can start customizing Lee and Lars. I’m just glad this game got me off Blazblue as I was getting tired of it after playing constantly since the console release.
BB is whack , you’re on the right track by playing Tekken
I love me some BB but I got tired of watching Nu/Arakune finals. Being a Litchi player, it annoys me to death.
T6 is pretty much my new sex since none of the local (and still open) arcades aren’t willing to shell out the money for either of the cabinets. Not playing a Tekken game in 2 years don’t feel right at all.
Don’t forget her :uf:+(LP+RP) throw; when you have people around who don’t know about Alisa, just start the match by doing that throw:woot:
How’d you get past Azazel’s Temple with shitty Raven as a partner?
I normally had something that gave a decent chance of electrifying enemies, or fire damage. Also I had some item that added a lot of life, and one for item drops. I think the items drops one is good because (I think) it also means more eggs/chickens which make longer fights easier.
I don’t remember the exact setup because once I got to mokujin’s stage I got MAD good loot (like +499% cash,150% drops, +95% attack)
My King looked mad goofy for a while, but I’m pretty sure I had:
raised attack
raised defense
electric attack%
raised drop %
raised life total
mainly for getting though areas like that, my farming one now changes electric attack for increased fight money and somehow the upgraded versions made him look pretty decent, lol. Though Azazel’s chamber was pretty easy, only got hard during the final fight and even then I spammed the flamethrower and killed the boss easily on my second try.
oh and you can also try upgrading raven’s equipment too
Are you guys reading what GayFags are saying about SRK?
From: SorsShinjo | #069
^SRK is a place for fighting game nerds, so like all nerds, they don’t like anyone who isn’t one of them, but they are pretty knowledgeable at their special term, which is fighting games.
if you dislike them, you most likely simply aren’t enough of a fighting game nerd.
I dislike them because they are a very special breed of arrogant offensive gamer nerd. What knowledge maybe gleaned from these people (all of whom really need to get out more) is lost by the fact that dealing with people puts you right off playing the game in the first place.
I remember when fighting games were fun; when people played characters because they were fun characters not because of how many (or how few) frames their special ubercombo was.
Stupid kids I tell yea…
Once I get to Mokujin’s stage in SC mode I’m staying there
sheesh
yep , its the goldmine of the game , just keep using bound in the place where the ground breaks to kill all the Moku’s immediately and get ez $$$'s
then sell the useless items to get even more $$$'s
CHA-CHING ! rinse and repeat for more money
When has Tekken turned into WoW gold farming?
when they made the equipment so fucking expensive
like seriously … 2 million for Steve’s mohawk ? WTF ?
Hey MarkMan, I have a friend of mines who new to tekken, and I have a silly question to ask.
What do you think “mastery” of a character is?
My friend just got tekken last night, first time even TOUCHING Lars. And he says he’s mastered him, and Steve, and Lili, and Asuka. I’m trying to find a way to break it into his skull that Mastery of a character does not mean knowing their movelist and their combos. How am I supposed to let him know this without breaking him down?
I would say the easiest way to do it (that would involve breaking him down) is just to beat his ass silly till he realizes his Lars is nowhere near on the level of the Koreans or Japanese. I really don’t know how you would make someone understand that otherwise. You could show him some YouTube videos but I’m not sure that would totally change his opinion unless he can truly see that what they are doing is better than what he is doing. People with egos like your friend’s will more than likely just see Japanese and Koreans fighting off and assume that since they haven’t fought him that they aren’t better. Otherwise if you’re just as shitty as he is…then beating the sense into him won’t work.
Fighting games just naturally feed into a man’s ego and when he thinks he has seen all that there is to see…there is nothing to make him see otherwise until he is beaten of all that makes sense. Only when things are confusing again will he know the road is much longer. Fighting games are a genre of games that force people to put their real life issues into the game. Mainly because it’s not a team based game so it forces the player to look at themselves for answers. The difference is the players that know the answers and the ones that think they know. The ones that think they know usually end up having a much harder time or quitting once they find out. If your friend is truly willing to be knowledgeable in fighting games he will realize he is far from mastery of everything and will embrace the road ahead.
IMO there is no such thing as mastery of a character. You can know a character inside and out but I believe there is always another level to reach in your own game or the character’s. There’s always something new to learn even if you’ve reached a majority of the potential the character is capable of. No 2 players play exactly the same even with the same character so there is no way to truly put use all aspects of a character at once.
exactly! I was doing a couple runs last night to rack up my kill count for the trophy and I was getting 1,500,000-1,800,000G per run, which takes a few minutes and that’s not including selling all the extra items
Ok 2 questions
- when I get to the mokujin stage in SC, can I replay it if I complete it, or do I have to die before the end of the level?
2.What gender is Leo?
you can replay it over and over, though you don’t need to finish it to get all the rewards
and I don’t know
Leo is a girl…AFAIK
there a quite number of things about Leo…that ‘identify’ this char as a chick
such as this:
http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/9498/frontnomalbraid.gif
only female chars have this item…AFAIK
yet namco’ T6 sitesays Leo’s a guy…
and I think the developers want to keep Leo’s gender unknown…
as seen in this video…IIRC
