TEKKEN 6 Bloodline Rebellion Thread - PS3/XBOX 360 Oct. 27, PSP Nov. 3

lol I did the same thing. I picked my usually Anna and Kazuya. Switched to Zafina, Didnt switch back. I did try Alisa though. Her stances are fun to use.

I’ve noticed a lot of Zafina loving from people… Seems like a lot of people I know are picking her up.

Side note, Asuka is still a crushing psychopath… As much as I told myself I wasn’t going to keep her this tekken, I just can’t help myself. She’s got even MORE crushes now!!!

Online is so fuckin wack. Can’t even hitconfirm 1,1,2 with a Mishima.

I haven’t played the game enough to pinpoint all the faults, but if I was going to fault this game on one thing off the bat, it would be the lack of base costumes. Customization is nice and all, but most everyone is just running around in hi-res versions of what they were wearing in DR.

I was really hoping for significant costume design changes between versions. Also I miss Asuka’s special DR costume…

Yeah Mishima’s can’t work in this netcode sadly…

Zafina owns all…

It went more like this: scrap all the stuff the already had programmed for the ps3 port, re-do that shit from the ground up for over a year to get the xbox to run a game not designed for it, then port the xbox version over to the ps3. THAT’S what took so long. Fuckin’ xbox.

I do agree Tekken is treated more importantly than Soul Calibur. However, their main attention with Tekken I would say is focused more on the Arcade scene in Japan, and not the consoles in the states.

After a few months, I don’t see how they will support console Tekken 6. It may be their baby, but console players will be forgotten. The chances I would say for support is a little better than SC4, but I’m not holding my breath. Hell, like some pointed out, this game lacks basic features like a recording function. Wasn’t that in previous versions?

They dropped the ball on this one, but time will tell if they do give a shit.

Has anyone Playing online noticed different stages than the ones that are selectable now? I just fought someone online and I played him on the tomato festival stage, is there anyway to unlock them? or pick them?

nope , the tomato festival and sheep stage can only be picked by random

Which is also dumb…

That’s something else added to the list?:rofl:

They should’ve added the extra stage where you fight Nancy to the random as well, smooth move Bamco…

and the stage outside the ruins where you fight Kazuya as Jin…

That’s not how things went down…

You see, namco royally screwed arcade owners in the 5.0 days by releasing the home version literally a few months after the arcade release. As such, they all lost out big time on their investment, because a couple months is NOT enough time to break even, much less a profit, on an arcade unit.

5.1 and DR was the beginning of that apology.

Then came tekken 6, which players discovered was rather broken in terms of damage scaling and certain characters. As such, they made the expansion, being blood-line rebellion, which also pushed back the console release by a year, so as not to make the console versions obsolete.

This isn’t a case of “one system held back the other”. The resolution was toned down because the arcade version had slow-down in certain situations. To make sure that didn’t occur in the home version the resolution was notched down.

O.k but what I don’t get is isn’t the arcade port in japan powered by the PS3? So how is it downgraded and stuff? To me it looks good for a Tekken title atleast.

well at least you can select their special costumes from the start!!! just found that out today.

EDIT: dont hate :frowning: plz

The resolution is supposedly lowered on the PS3 and X360. I don’t know as we don’t have an arcade with it in missouri, but that’s what I’m told.

I do know the arcade version has slow-down in certain conditions, usually during raged wall and floor breaks. Those slow-downs are fixed in the home version.

As for the graphics, I think people are on drugs… To me they look GREAT. Definitely better than SF4, that’s for sure.

Ok, so I just found out why some people may think this is playable online.

Went back on to the shithole network and decided to bring back my old bitch Asuka since Mishimas are fucking screwed online. Found that on green, and sometimes even yellow connections, I was getting some 35-45% juggles to work. Asuka’s juggles allow you to input commands early. If you guys want to play online, you need to choose characters that has juggles where you can buffer moves ahead of time IE: Bob, Asuka, Lee, Julia, etc etc.

Other than that, it’s still ass.

Why let reality get in the way of Rhio’s good ol’ based-on-pure-idle-speculation-taken-as-fact fanboy rant? My guess is that the Taito X2 board that it was built on is like the Ps3 in the same way that Naomi was like Dreamcast, i.e. extremely beefed up in terms of video ram and CPU processing capability. So if there was slowdown on that behemoth of a board, there was no way a console that had less power and a more intricate and multi-functional OS using more of the CPU’s bandwidth for other console functions, while simultaniously running the game, could handle full resolution gameplay.

Q: Is the character data upload feature in DRO gone from T6? I don’t mean ghost data. I mean in offline versus with a Playstation 3 that has multiple accounts on it, each account uploading their own character savedata.
