LOL. Yeah I wasn’t expecting much out of that stick. Especially it being wireless…that’s an instant no sell for me. I wouldn’t want a wireless stick unless I playing on a movie theater screen or something. My custom stick’s cord is like 3 feet longer than the TE stick’s cord and that gives me plenty of space. Oh and I’m sure the Hori buttons and stick were ass like usual. If it ain’t arcade parts get it away from me.
Meh…I dunno. It’s just like when Seth Killian was saying that the online features of SFIV were going to really be something special and waited till like the day before the game came out to release info about them (and they weren’t) or how he said Fei Long would be able to combo into his Ultra off of a command throw (which he can’t). I dunno…that’s just the way PR is. You hear shit and then shit changes when shit goes down. Markman doesn’t need any hate from that shit. He’s just hearing shit and relaying it over for the Namco people. It’s just the company of Namco fucking up and telling some guy to tell the people that things are going to be good when they are not.
I just had to take one look back at SCIV and T5DRO to know everything Markman was saying was basically a lie. I already knew before the game came out not to expect anything grand just like I knew not to expect anything grand with whatever Seth said. It’s not like it was his fault either way. You really just don’t know about netcode until you put it out in the vast technologically disadvantaged online market known as the US of A.
Shit…HD Remix is good now but it started off pretty damn bad and I’m sure many people stopped playing that game early on even if the connections in most games were solid. All of the other glitches were enough to ruin the game for a while. No good playing a game online with good delay if you can only play 3 games before you get booted out. Now that it’s all fixed no one plays the game online anymore. There will still be plenty more people playing Tekken 6 online even if it never gets patched than HD Remix. The game is practically a culture and people want their 3d crack.
I blame Namco on their 2 year wait. 2 years to work on that better netcode. 2 years to “make the game feel fresh and unrushed”.
granted the gameplay is solid. But did we REALLY need Scenario mode? Especially as the main grab for a story mode? Namco’s still trying hard and failing hard at trying to make action/adventure titles into the Tekken series.
LOL. Tekken 6 is rushed as shit. Basic gameplay features missing is a big sign of a rushed game. Don’t want all those new games coming out before your game Namco.
Yeah SC IMO is pretty superfluous. I mean I think I’ll actually like it once I get into it and play it since I’m a huge fan of beat em up style games but they could have not had that mode in at all and T6 would have got practically the same reviews and credit. The rest of the game wouldn’t feel so rushed either (outside of the core arcade gameplay which is incredibly good).
quick question…
so through scenario campaign you unlock endings…so if you go through the game in single player mode (offline, arcade whatever) and beat the game you’ll see the ending instead of the credits? is that how it works?
haven’t left practice mode so i don’t know yet.
i’m not sure if you see the endings(after unlocking them in scenario) after you beat the game in Arcade Mode…i think you just get the credits
hey guys…not sure if it’s just my ps3 slim or not…but it seems the loading is a tad bit slow all around. i’ve been experiencing a few hiccups as of late with my slim…so i wanted to make sure if it was just the game or if it’s actually my console.
also, every time i boot up the game it installs the trophy pack. are any of you guys gettin this?
another thing is that 1P/2P side preference thing…i get that every time i boot up too. i could be making this up but i thought markman mentioned in his podcast (or that other group that did the video preview) that you only needed to do that once and the game just remembers it along with your profile preferences.
you tried installing the game? cuts down on load times a bit.
the 1p/2p thing happens all the time to me…I don’t really mind honestly (and seeing i’m not maining Kaz in this game, I don’t have to worry about hoping i’m 1p than 2p.)
the trophy bit can’t help on. I’m on 360.
yeah, the first thing i did after loading up the game was install teh game data. how’s the load time on 360?
it’s passable. i’ve seen worse. Nothing to really complain about actually. Installing the game does cut down on the vs. load screen a little and character models show up much faster at the character select screen. Outside of that though, can’t really tell a difference in game.
in scenario campaign you can unlock the arena, and as you go through the levels you unlock characters you can use in scenario campaign or in the arena. just select the arena, use a character and beat it and you can see the ending, it’s like 4 stages max in arena so it doesn’t take long
While I am really enjoying the game, some stuff Namco should REALLY change/fix are-
1- Allow player 2 to be able to use the customized models. It’s friggin’ stupid that only Player 1 can use them.
2- There should’ve been 4/6 models instead of just 2 or 3; 2/3 are the original otufits, and the other 3 are the ones you customized.
3- Instead of pressing Square, X or Triangle to select your desired outfit, why not just have a list pop up after selecting a character to choose whichever model they want to use? …and you don’t need to show the model, just text telling the model #.
I really really hope namco fixes these issues.
stupid position of hud so you don’t even see all the options at once
not saying the character’s name when you select them
laggy online
random disconnects from server after you search for a match
echoing announcer
original arcade soundtrack
wait timedelay on command list demo
versus mode like SF4 so I don’t have to ask the person next to me if they want to change characters
Maybe markman can tell namco to put these features in a patch…
I had my first ragequitter yesterday, and I received a loss as well!
That’s a load of BS.
i own a ps3 and xbox did take the prize for tekken 6, mainly because of load time difference.
ps3 should of had a mandatory install instead of optional, namco jus did a more lazy job porting the game over to ps3 then xbox. aside from that gameplay and graphics is all the same
i recommend you do a install, it takes up a bit of space but it will help, its not a huge difference from xbox, jus a second off.
i think we’re getting a pretty good package for the 6th tekken game, it looks like its strictly for hardcore games which is what we want
I think the netcode is just fine.
Not as worse as KOFXII, not as good as BB either. But it’s definitely playable. Just do your inputs ahead.
Wheres that link that shows all the items in T6?
this doesn’t work for tekken. Considering how heavy juggles/spacing is in this game, just “inputting ahead” doesn’t work.
if i’m tossing out a launcher and keep going not knowing if the launcher connected or not is just asking for punishment. But then again, if the game is delayed that bad, I wouldn’t be searching for matches online to begin with.
I think getting AIDS and terminal cancer is fine. Just do all the things you want to do ahead of time.
If I hear of a patch for T6 coming out in December, then Namco can go fucking die!
I can just juggle fine with Anna, and Julia also Lili.
But the thing is that, expecting a 3d game to be 100% smooth online is beyond imaginable. VF5 was pretty close though.
But I still do hope for a fix though. BB was freaking sexy.
