Anybody you were good with in 5. It helps to have at least pretended to do bound combos in practice mode in 5dr. That shit is coming in handy now that the combos DO bound. I’m beasting with 9 hit Jin juggles, and Raven is fuckin’ awesome again. All these new moves give you an answer to damn near ANYTHING.
Am I stupid or can you not configure player 2’s button setup outside of entering an actual vs game? On the 360. Seems a bit of an odd thing to be missing.
Default pad always was perfect for fighters. Free online (not crappy like those who diss ps3 always spout). As for the Live vs PSN thing, I think it’s like this: people always think what they got is better cuz they had to pay for it, and think those who got/get it free without any fraud or cheating, are getting an inferior product/service. It’s all in your head. The last 2 generation’s consumer-mentality is the cause of this. If it’s cheaper/free, it’s GOT to be lame compared that’s the equivalent, but costs more. We are taught the lie that price equals quality/reliability (see Ipods, for instance)…though in the case of the ps3’s initial launch cost, that is the rare exception.
online isn’t too bad so far but i did have alot of lag with a player from DC (i’m from va) we get green bars in sf4. but its hit or miss.
Just got it. Damn this game is sexy.
If anyone got the OST rip plz plz PM me <3 xoxo
you see, Im fairly new to the fighting game community
about a year in
the only games I have gotten invested in are sf4, sf3, and mainly Blazblue
I am completely fuckin clueless outside of mashing casuals with my friends for fun, and I need someone to learn tekken with.
Whom ever you’re most comfortable with. If you wanna learn someone basic, Paul, Miguel, Jack are good choices. Then go from there.
and a player from NJ
Like he said, it’s relatively unplayable compared to SF4, Blazblue and VF5. If you complained about SF4 there is no way you can say T6 is any good. It’s the worst i’ve seen in a fighting game. Desperately needs to be fixed/redone.
You obviously haven’t had the pleasure of playing King of Fighters 12 then lol.
Exactly. It’s working just fine for me, but then again, SC4 worked just fine for me as well, and alot of people complained about that.
The only bad netcoded game I’ve played on PSN would be SF4 (never played DRO or KOF12).
NOTHING is worse than KOF12 pre-patch.
NOTHING
Haha you guys are right. That game looked like crap from the get go so I side stepped that game to the left.
I got the game today around at 4. Had to get some stuff done and got it going at 8 P.M. Btw, before I played I read the art book and I do have to say its pretty cool. A problem I have with it though is it doesn’t show all of the characters art work and etc. The wireless stick on the other hand plays great and I didn’t have any problems with it disconnecting. It is also light weight.
Yeah I only have a 360 and my experience has been surprisingly good. I didn’t stay online all day like an online warrior but I just looked for strong connections and got strong connections 2 times in a row. I could do all of my starndard Lars combos with ease (I can’t do the high level Japanese stuff offline any ways) and could block and tech throws on reaction well enough for online play. The lag was at 2 or 3 frames at worse. Like if it was any better I would have been sitting next to the guy.
There was only 1 person out of the 3 people I played that I suffered lag with and it was mostly because his connection went down to 1 bar suddenly before his connection quit. The game allows you to see in real time as you’re fighting if someone’s connection is screwing up so there’s no SFIV surprises when a 5 bar connection goes through the tubes. You’ll see the icon immediately change to a 2 or 1 bar connection during the fight so you know you or your opponent’s connection is dying. I’m running on Verizon Fios so my connection is super fast and just like any other online game…only faltered with the one guy who had cheap internet or lived 1,000s of miles away from me.
It’s still sad that the bad rep the online play has gotten so far will probably keep some people from buying the game. It’s a shame cuz it’s really great to finally be able to play this great series online. Especially considering the experience I had with the hour or so I was online was great. When I do more player hopping I might have a different story but the jist was that if I found a green connection I had good times.
Plus I have a lot of people to play this game offline with since there’s a solid competitive Tekken scene in my area. I should be able to level up a bit faster because of that. Thank you Namco for allowing me to give up SFIV. It’s like being able to brush your teeth again.
Looking to customize my hwoarang, and was HOPING that I could unlock more clothes than already presented in the beginning. When I say I unlock I don’t mean purchase. I mean is there more clothes to add to the shop. If so, how do I unlock it?
THANKS
Am I the only person getting nauseous playing on the snow stage? Something about the characters moving on that stage has my eyes doing strange things.
All of you guys saying online is “playable” are lying to yourselves. Unlike shit-fighter 4, where you can do a dragon punch motion, wait half a second, press punch, and still get an uppercut, Tekken’s timing for moves are STRICT. Like, 1-2 frames strict. Rodeo, egwf, taunt dashi, wave dash, etc etc etc etc.
Scroll around a character select screen online and then scroll around it offline. Notice difference? If you don’t you suck at Tekken.
Been playing on and off today (on and off being between not working on my car and not at work). Personally, I love the gameplay. Just not all that happy at how meh online is.
Plus I personally prefer the old school “arcade as story mode” bit. Scenario mode I thought was gonna be just a simple Tekken force mini game. not the chunk of the story. Making me not want to play it even though I plan to pick up Lars.
On that note, I’m having hot sex with Lee’s changes/additions. No more looking like a idiot trying to do MS~b+3:3. Dude got such a buff, it’s hard to not gawk at his changes like a little schoolgirl. Lars is fun if not fucking all over the place. His stuff is such a gimmick in a good way.
Played 1 match online and uh…well I don’t even know where dude lives but I can say I didn’t bother trying. delay was so bad. I feel bad now for not trying to stick in the NY room I came across. Though i’m more than willing to hit this game online with people nearby. There’s more than enough of you MD/VA cats around here that I’ve probably seen/know/fought in the arcade via T5/DR.
How does this game look on PS3? Dunno if it’s somehow related to my settings (can’t see how), but it’s ugly as fuck on X360. There’s like no anti-aliasing and we’re talking 480p resolution.
Am I doing something wrong?
I played around with it and it plays well enough. I’m sure I’ll enjoy it if I can manage to get past the visuals. How is it that SC4 looks gorgeous and this… looks the way it does?
