and yeah lots of cool things in Tekken games, I remember when I saw the poison arrow combo with Paul/Law and learned how to become “devil jin” in TTT. I think T5 had a bunch of random moves or special things that would happen in certain situations too.
I knew about the TTT/T4 stuff, but I didn’t expect more than 1 item move per character in BR. I knew about Steve’s other one, not the gloves. Now I’m wondering if Lars has more than just his machine gun.
Now is the time for some tekken wizard to find them all and their uses… And make a fucking sick demo vid. I thought my hype was at the maximum. Yo MarkMan, might want to toss that idea at PR team!

Lol wow guys. I thought all this shit was known. About item moves, some characters having more than one, and some item moves being slightly useful in certain situations but still not overpowering.
Feng has two: the shiny “BING” head and the DBZ/Son-son power pole
Ganryu has two: the Kabuki makeup and the fish basket
Furthermore, just about every Tek has had cool shit that most people never even knew existed because you wouldn’t get that shit off in a real match. Like 5.0/DR Raven’s “clone-jitsu” where he makes 2 clones of himself. But you have to powerup like 30 consecutive times and put in weird inputs. It would’ve been ok if it was just 5 times whenever in a round or something, but Namco all but guaranteed that you’d never see this move because it’s too tedious to perform. And then people were trying to figure out uses for it. I think it gives Raven more range on certain moves but…so fucking what?? No one is going to let you get it off! It’s useless.
Then there’s the JF(just frame) moves in like every Tekken. I guess you can say some are hidden or whatever. But JF are used often, so you’ll more than likely see these, all the ones that aren’t excrutiatingly hard to pull off, and even those too. But there are still JF that most players don’t know about.
And I sure people seen the taunts/ supercharger katas in Tekken 6/BR and the hidden win poses that have existed since forever.
So yea. Tek does have quite a bit of neat little things I guess.
yeah I wasn’t saying the TTT stuff was new, I just remember when I first saw it way back when.
Isn’t the Just Frame notation JF? as in JFSR or in T4 JFLS. sorry to nitpick. But I agree tekken does offer some random “easter eggs” if you will and I think it’s pretty cool.

Also would just like to mention to anyone planning on getting Tekken 6 from Nottingham on release that there is apparently a Tekken Tag machine set up in the Broadmarsh Centre near the model shop, might be worth checking it out if you’re going to be in town anyway. (I know I will:party:)
