yeah, i caught some hate in this thread too. i dunno if it was because i praised t4 or hated on t4, someone decided to hate. oh well.
new characters look exactly like the dr characters. if that bosonovich chick doesn’t play like dr.b, then she’s an automatic fail.
A lot of hate got spread cuz niggas that never played the games, never played in tournies or seen tourney play, go off of hearsay, or are youtube champion world class theory fighters don’t know when to shut their fucking mouths when grown folks are talking.

Tekken 4 was bad (just cuase Namco wasn’t used to desiging the sytem). Tekken 5 was ok. DR was a nice upgrade. I’m not a fan of 6 with bounce system in place, it is esentially a visual cue that 'this combo (move) creates a uncouterable attack, abuse it"
While I understand the bounce system is supposed to be countered by the rage system, really neither of them work out well as they make ‘Greats’ really easy now.
As far as the new characters go, I’ve always been happy with the different characters with the exception of the Eddy/Christie design (one of them could have more flare), so I would love to see where these new characters will go.

anyways, bounce, i don’t think you understand the bound system. or at least you’re broadening it down to something it isn’t. It’s like saying “this move launches, let me abuse it and hit them in the air.”
bound is nothing more than extending out a juggle. its nothing more than an extra hit to a juggle ender that offsets the health bar increase.
rage definately was not made to offset bound. if anything it has been a compliment to bound and the new wall system.
the only problems i’ve had with the game is rage (it should only last for a limited amount of time so the person down on life HAS to push the pace to take advantage of it) and bounding on wall hits (launch, hit hit hit hit hit, wall, hit hit hit, bound attack, hit hit hit hit hit, *then oki against wall). nothing should bound once you hit walls: either bound before they hit the wall or not at all.
I got some hate for my tekken 4 comments as well.
I Agree with the wall bound comment.
Just yesterday I was playing devil jin against a decent gimmicky bob, got him down to 3 percent and I had about 95%, guy got desperate and started pushing buttons while I’m next to the wall and within seconds the next thing I know I lost (still don’t really know bob’s moves) with the noob spectators going OHHH! like it was something special. Lost the 2nd round pretty decisively and barely survived the 3rd.
This travesty would not have happened in any other tekken, only tekken 6, but then I just manned up and said fuck this I’m not gonna complain about this game and got a perfect on the next round. Last round got him down to 10 percent and me with full life and then we just both stood still for 15 seconds across the screen before dude realized that HE was the one that had to move forward and so I got another perfect when he came to attack.
