Tekken 5's time released characters

Ever since that Mortal Kombat Deception “super unlockables” bullshit, I feel as though I have to ask if the TRCs in Tekken 5 are indeed real.

There have been supposed fake lists going around, but are there really going to be 30+ characters in the game?

I’m pretty sure Namco wouldn’t release a Tekken w/o TRC’s.

the entire trc list has been confirmed by the korean government none the less. before any type of media is brought into their country, the korean government has to view the product in its entirety to see if its suitable. so that means namco has to have everything unlocked. and of course theres gonna be tekken heads in that committee. thats how trc’s are always known ahead of time concerning tekken

Damn Koreans.

wow…i’m totally not buying that reasoning but ya tekken 5 has trc. I got it from the local aracade manager.

hey dont blame koreans for what their government has to do. its like the war against iraq with america, its the government and you cant do anything to end it.

Jesus, next time, I’ll put a smiley or something. Don’t get serious over that shit.

Nah that’s exactly what happened and what happens all the time. That’s how we found out about all the TRCs in T4 before its release. Sigh, good ol’ Combot.

Do you know off the top of your head who the TRCs are?

jesus same here. just joking

I wish they would have created some new characters instead of killing the storyline and bringing back supposedly dead ones. How the hell is Wang still alive? He should be about over a hundred years old. Bet they’ll say he was in cryogenic sleep like Nina was in Tekken 3 or something.

Damn, this is so fake.

Nice photoshop.

I find it kind of weird that people actually care about the storyline to a fighting game.

Actually there are quite a few people that care about the Tekken Storyline, at least in the past.

Yeah, I know. I’m not really condemning that, I just find it odd. If I want a story, I’d rather have one where the story exists for its own sake; I’d read a book, watch a movie or an anime series, play an RPG, etc. Stories in fighting games always exist to give the characters a reason to fight, and as such will always lack narrative depth compared to other forms of media or even other game genres that aren’t limited by such a narrow scope.

thats not fake…eddy is the first trc on t5.

don mack: i actually care about the storyline its interesting to see fighting hgames driven on a storyline. Like sf isn’t so storyline driven, i dunno about doa, soul claiburs sort story driven but not really tekken is really story driven they seem to but as much effort into makeing the game as well as the story.

though when i read bio on ling trying to find a time machine, i’m starting to think they got high or lazy with that one. but all the mishimas are aewsome…and jinpachi…dude looks like heihaci if he took the ooze(think tmnt2)

Tekken 5 machines in Korea are showing the first signs of time released items. You can buy an Eddy Gordo swap as a Christie customization for the hefty price of 400,000 gold!

Please keep in mind this is not the first time released character, but merely and item that can be bought via the Tekken 5 IC card system.

i have a feeling then ann will be a swap for nina

I seriously doubt that character list is the final one. Everytime a new Tekken game comes out people talk about how everything is known in Korea ahead of time, however too my knowledge the lists have never been 100% right. I remember back in the Tekken 3 days half of the characters they were saying where in the game where made up,lol

But if that list is correct man, that is dissapointing. Bruce & Baek are too of my old favorties though, so it’ll be nice to see then in action. But most of the other secrect characters are a waste of time. Mhaura (or whatever the ling pallet swap is) will probably be in the game too. Not that that matters.
