Tekken 5 hori stick with mame

Ok I have the ps2 tekken 5 hori stick with a ps to usb adapter. When I hook it up it regesters in windows and everything works fine but mame will not notice it. The adapter works fine with my modded pelican with perfect 360(uses an old ps1 pad) for mame but thats way to big to play on my lap. I’m actually using the doa4 stick as of now but you can’t press 3 kicks at once.

Anyone have any idea how to get this hori stick working?

make sure its not reading the stick as pov instead of directions if it is just set the direction with the pov for universal

Where are those settings? I’m using mame 64 and 61.
