Out of box, how good/bad is the stick and buttons comparing to the real japanese arcade parts (or let’s say a HRAP)?–since I never play with HRAP or any japanese arcades
The buttons do not feel as strong as the Haps buttons I have. If they got broken, will it be easy to fix them? (I used to got a stick made by blaze with the same kind of design, very hard to fix once broken)
Ok friend bought this today and I was able to give it a try.
All I can say is, WOW, this is basically a $30 HRAP. I had a HRAP for quite some time and I personally can not tell the difference whatsoever between this and the HRAP, exact same type of stick/button/layout, exact same feel. Put it this way if you hate this stick you won’t like HRAP either. It may not be as durable (that I wouldn’t know until at least six months into it) but it sure as hell is just as good out of the box for this user.
This is an EXCELLENT stick for occassional 2 player action, the cheaper than dirt price allows you to invest in a custom stick for primary use and this is perfect for a once in a while 2 player offline action. Heck if you are new to Japanese sticks, this is good enough to get a first impression on the subject. If you get used to this stick, invest in a high end stick. Otherwise, stick to Happ competitions.
The bottomline, there are exactly two mass produced sticks that is (marginally) better than this, the HRAP series and MAS sticks. If you are not a hardcore player you may never notice. Don’t bother with SFAC or X-Arcades, they are not even close to the quality of this $30 product.
It works flawlessly for PC with the USB adapter I had, but strangely, my innovation adapter for Xbox off ebay doesn’t quite work with it. In CVS2 for Xbox (offline) I noticed a little input lag. In 3S it is basically unplayable. But for FBAXXX it works flawlessly? WTF?
