ok i just got done with my first sesh. i gotta say ggs to shoo, russian agent, and cable. The games I had with cable there wasnt much lag. shoo and russianagent was some lag but it was still somewhat of playable. the random room join system and match system are horrid though. they definately need to work on that in an update. also they shud make it so you can respond to msgs in-game. but whateva ggs again. ill play you all and more tomorrow. just send me a friend request if you wanna boogie oggie oggie.
Cable: who was that dude we played all those mad games with haha? the paul player, i forgot his tag.
Is this game still available online? It won’t show up in the online store after I downloaded funds to my wallet. I clicked on ‘download title’ and then it said ‘There is nothing available for your account’. Is this because I had the japanese version on my PS3 and got banned from buying it or something? This sucks. I have 30 bucks in my PS wallet for no reason =/
The patch on the US store is only compatible with the US version on the North America stores. If you bought yours off the Hong Kong store, then get a HK PS Card from play-asia and buy the patch from the HK store (also they have a lot more stuff than the NA PSN because the HK PSN has content from both NA and JP PSNs).
If not, then you have to rebuy the US game or get it off a gameshare.
So far, game is way too laggy to be considered serious. Its not even as good as Kaillera on its worst day. Maybe its just the people I played but the little indicators were mostly green, shifting to orange ever now and again :-\
Yeah I actually had the japanese version that a friend transferred. I deleted it to download the US version. Basically the store took 30 bucks from me and wouldn’t give it to me, so I guess I’m going to have to figure out the gameshare thing. =/
I bought a 50 foot ethernet cable just to have the best online experience on this game.
So far, I’ve had the best matches with shoobert and another player we played named kayreiko, who was pretty much putting my ass to DR school. Other than the random drop outs I had at first, playing DR online is pretty smooth overall.
Also, they better get to steppin in fixing the problem where you have to refresh the lobby three times to avoid a network error.
Well I’ll be dipped in dogshit. Turning off the media server has indeed seemed to help me. I’m getting far more Green ratings and maintaining a better connection during matches now. Be it coincidence or not, my connection has goten better. Thanks ShinkuuR, I’d rep if I could.
ok im at work right now. im gonna get off round 4pm central (5pm eastern time) ill get you all in some games then. like dbostick im lookin forward to playin you lol. and everyone else just add a nicca
I’ve had some really good games with Livingshot and Da_Gawd(don’t think they post here) with minimal lag. I was able to pull of decent combos without any trouble. The guys over at Tekken Zaibatsu recommend that you create a room with a limit of 4 players and voice chat turned off to help minimize the lag. Overall it is very playable.
I’m usually on late nights and random afternoons; I’ll be sure to catch some of the people I missed earlier.
So far, not considering the bugs that’ll obviously be ironed out in the near future, I’m very satisfied with the matches I’ve had and DR online is probably a good enough head start for Namco to improve the online for SCIV and T6.
How do you use the mic for this? Friend of mine got a mic today, we synced it with the Blootooth sync thing in the settings, that worked fine. But when I go online the Mic is on but I don’t hear static and the mic icon won’t show next to my name.
Appreciate the help homies.
Oh and if anyone was playing against me today and it was against a Marduk, getting win streaks, that wasn’t me. That was Big D.
He’s right, the host needs to turn on support for headsets. I’d recommend you stay away from servers that allow headsets though, since that increases the chance you’ll lag, unless the person is near you.
