just thought i would make a thread for this game since theres so much talk about it. now i’ve got a few questions regarding strategy. i can do a bunch of cool juggles and everythin but your average hworang/eddie button masher still stands a chance against me. so i would like to know how i can beat these scrubs on a continual basis. for instance how to use side steps and parries. also i hear you guys say this is alot better than tekken would you mind enlightening me about what makes this better. i’m no tekken fan in fact i’m only playing this cause thats all thats being played at my school.
the other game forum has one already…
therse also Tekken Zaibatsu
by d/f you mean just press that angle? how precise do you have to be to do it. is it exactly as they attack cause nothin seems to happen for me.
It’s just like parrying in 3S.
some characters have b+1+3_b+2+4 parrys/reversals
df+ a low attack might CRUSH or COUNTER but I’m not too sure about parry. Unless its character specific, in which case it dosent apply to the characters I play as(Feng, Christie, Anna, Asuka).
BTW, you cant call them scrubs if they still get the upper hand on you by mashing.
You’re better off blocking that shit and bum rushing. There IS a reason why you never see good Christie players whip out 3~4.
No. Just tap d/f when a low attack comes in and it will be parried. Most characters can get a juggle and therefore half life after doing this. It’s also important to learn in order to break certain strings, which can otherwise be abused, such as Baeks d+3, 3, 3/d+3.
hm . .news to me
I dont know why anybody would want to do that.
Trying to bait a parry in a 3d fighter is silly. Reverse it or just straight block and punish the lag on block.
Especially against somebody like Steve Fox or Christie, with fakes out the ass. b+4 4 . .ah nope. . cancelled into 3 3 3. . theres goes your ass gliding through the midnight sky.
well i didn’t exactly say i was a pro.
people complain about fighting christie who button mashes, but shes easy if you learned and know her. i see her offensive attacks a mile away, i’m prepared for everything she gives. and its easy to counter after her offensive rythm too.
does anybody know where i can get the soundtrack to this great game? thanks
Low parrying carries no more risk than blocking low. It is an important technique to learn if you want to do well in Tekken.
you are so awesome!!!

ARE YOU GUYS NOOBS TO TEKKEN OR SOMETHING
Happy to help.
The best way to beat a character is to learn them yourself.
Dieing to character unfamiliarity is common in Tekken, especially against characters like Eddy, Christie, Bob and Baek.
that has been in the game since tekken 3…
Anyone here good with rodger? i wanna give him a try. what are is his best juggle?
“Her” best juggles, you mean. Mama does all the fighting. Her joey* is just along for the ride. Now, my favorite juggles are:
Both kicks when back’s turned
:l: and both :p:, then right :p:
left :k: ~ right :k:
*Before you go all “Wha?! I thought his name was Roger!” here’s kangaroo terminology, for all the nature-challeged members:
Adult male roo: Boomer
Female: Flyer, or just a doe
Baby roo: Joey
And this has been another “Wilderness With Rhio” segment. Tune in next time for a sneak preview of Fox’s new series: Fast Animals, Slow Children. Thank you and good night.
Lmao BOB?!?!? Hahahaha
