Tekken 1-3, Soul Edge and Soul Calibur tiers?

The Koreans play DJ to and he isnt top tier. They also dont play Nina because they think shes boring.

Jin is high mid tier not top. He has 1,1,2 and EWGF thats that it. His electric isnt even as good as Heihachis and what Saotome said.

Me and Bronson just had a discussion about this the other day funny enough. Talking about how every T3 topic that comes up people seem to think Jin is top tier. We both agreed he wasnt.

Hah. =p I think Kuma gets off now, but Jack doesn’t. I’ll check.

And I mean, they can’t get out of it by conventional means(lying there) because it fucking hits them grounded.

Jack is much better in T5 then Kuma. Kuma and Lei hold down bottom tier by themselves.

wait hold up so cervantes is playable in soul calibur the arcade version? wtf?

And Taki is tops? Give some examples of her broken shit plz

A lot of Maxi players in SC2 wanted SC1 Maxi back, because he had a lot of combo strings removed in SC2. SC1 Maxi could pressure people unlike SC2 Maxi where you had to be safe.

IIRC WCMaxi had him in the lower half, near bottom? I forget, but he wasn’t top.

Hwang had all Mitsu’s movelist in SE, outside of throw animations. Did he have some wack properties that made him better to play as?

american rankings

ogre1 hei law
jin
other ppl that im too lazy to list.

t3 btw

bronson

Most SC1 tier lists are highly suspect, as the game didn’t have much of a competitive following. The ranking project had Cervy as 2nd to last, yet the French tore up everybody with some viscious Cervy bullshit. SC1 had a lot of crazy bullshit now that I think about it. I highly doubt the game’s supposed balance would’ve held up if it had become more popular.

I don’t think it matters whether you class Jin in top tier or not.

I really don’t think there is that much difference between Jin and Hei/Law.
All hail the EWGF!!! (and wavedash WS+2 cancel)

Rehan (Dead Man Inc.)

Koreans actually think DJ is top tier though…and they actually win current tourneys with him which means it isn’t just a rumor

I wasn’t talking about their tier status…=x

im willing to say ling is better than hei and law in t3

talking to truking, heihachi isnt even considered top 3 in t3.

:frowning: nobody answered my questions

Cervy isn’t in the arcade version.

Taki is sick. Never played a good one in those days, though. I do remember raping people in DC SC1 with Hwang…

btw wasnt lizardman #1 in sc1?

he had a just frame instant unblockable that you could only jump out of because it was a floor pound. lead into a free launch once it stunned you from the floor pound.

and if i remember correctly lizardman could RO you from the middle of any stage after a launcher

ringing out anyone with just about anyone was pretty easy in sc1. Maxi and Asta both won too many matches to ring outs.

Ogre was tied for nina I believe.

Law was numero uno in T3.

Ling had damaged but overall law dominated. CH Standing 4 into junkyard was all you really needed.

All I remember.

law was not the best.

ogre1 was by far the best.

It wasn’t exactly from middle of stages, but it did RO pretty far. He also had a lot of abusable frame stuff, strength + speed. Sophitia also had the iGT, that wasn’t that broken.

last i heard ogre had like only 2 moves to track a certain ss so you could turtle like fuck against him and just attack when needed

same thing with heihachi

call me and we’ll talk marvel for another hour

Well you heard wrong Ogre is pretty much considered undisputed best. Then Hei, Law or Law Hei, Jin
