Knoxville for Leo could be good, I don’t have a prob with that.
I thought I would have a problem with them starting off as human, but now I’m cool with it.
I mean in some versions of the story Splinter starts out human as Yoshi and then morphs into a rat. Same thing.
Different is good, especially when it comes to the Turtles.

Objectively speaking, is the first TMNT movie a good movie. I had this discussion with some people and they feel its a shit movie compared to what we’re getting with this new movie.
So wait…Shredder is white in this movie, or is he Japanese but played by a white actor? What about Splinter?

Other than April being a news reporter, the Turtles’ love of pizza, and the different bandana colors, the 1990 movie recreated the Mirage comics and basically ignored the 87 cartoon. Which was kind of ballsy, since the horde of kids were expecting the crazy cartoon, instead of a gritty urban action-adventure. And it was rare for a comic book movie to pay attention to the original material was well as TMNT 90 did.
“Objectively” it’s one of the best comic book adaptations before 2000, it’s up to you to decide whether it’s a good movie or not.
TMNT 1 is deffinitly still one of the best comic movies ever for sure.

I don’t mind the look of the turtles, but the biggest WTF (now that I’ve seen it) is Donnie’s glasses. Looks pretty stupid and tacky.
