Hello. I’m trying to get frame data from an older game. I have the software and such that I need, and I know how to figure start-up frames, the first active frame, advantages on block and hit and such, but I can’t seem to find any good way to find out active frames without seeing the hit boxes somehow, which I don’t believe is possible in this case. I am simply wondering if anyone has any tips or ideas? I have been searching for awhile now. Thanks in advance.
Time it so you’re hitting people on wakeup.
The only method that i can think of is to record the moves at 60fps at different distances of the opponent and count the frames by yourself
That assumes the hitbox moves forward during the active frames, which is not always the case. The only way to accurately test this is to do progressive timings against something with limited invulnerability, like a wakeup.
Make a lua script or a hack that shows the collision data, or gain access to the development tools.
Hack of Breakers Revenge.
Development tools for Fighter’s History Dynamite.
Those both seem like solid approaches, now I just need to find someone who can write lua haha… I don’t think I would ever come across the dev tools.
What game do you want to find the active frames for?
Gundam Battle Assault 2
