INTRODUCTION(Who am I?)

Hello Everyone. My name is ShadowFiend. Im a Yattergirl/Ryu Main. I been on Shoryuken alot helping the yattergirl thread. those of you who have no idea who yattergirl is(Yatterman-2). I been active in the Tourney Scene, trying my best and helping others support tvc after all we deserve it :wink: i mean who wants to spend there time playing brawlz(brawl **** go away).

About my Discovery

Ok one day me and shinigami was playing the best fighter on the wii(TvC) eventually we got tired of having sets. shinigami mains tkmn gay and v.joe. so he went to playing pokemanz and i decided to screw around with v.joe. i was playing around with the C.O.A.R(Cross-Over Air Raid) and i was just o.h spamming and doing combos to air joe and crap what not. this time out of nowhere i decided to O.H then C.o.A.R. well the results were amazing. v.joe used his overhead and cancelled and somehow teleported to the ground without no lag and i instantly grabbed lol. i do that alot with ryu. o.h then grab. its mindgames.

haha! well, it’s pretty simple my friends. you just overhead then c.o.a.r. watch how i do it in the video.
personally i think it’s a great technique NOT BECAUSE I DISCOVERED IT! only because it’s like L-Cancelling in Super Smash Bros Melee.

How Would This Change TVC UAS?

well the world is already complaining about tekkaman blade(yes he can do it, and one day i did this weird teleport super dash across the screen) by jumping and just dashing to c.o.a.r he** LITERALLY **teleported to the other side of the stage. one thing i should mention, when i did the weird teleport dashy thing in the air, i couldnt do anything after. jesus i hope tblade mains don’t find out how to do this! i hope this doesn’t damage tvc’s competitive play. :slight_smile: it was just a discovery by me i know it has potiential just because of the mindgames you can set up! think about it, royalflush and keits are gonna be doing some sick ass shiz.

Taunt Dashing was discovered by Shinigami one day by practicing with v.joe. lol it’s a funny technique.

Pretty sure this is old. I abuse this with Alex all the time.

Overhead, then COAR if blocked (there is a pretty big window to hit confirm from). This allows me to recover from the overhead lag instantly and I can mix it up from there. Go into another overhead, grab, or 2a > whatever.

However, even if I’m wrong or not, good find. I was pretty stoked when I found it with Alex.

I haven’t tried the taunt dash thing yet.

I doubt the name shadow cancelling is going to stick 9_9 this isn’t smash bros. We don’t name techniques after whoever supposedly coined them first.

if anything this’ll probably just end up being referred to as an overhead cancel or OC. But then again, that name is misleading since this doesn’t seem like it would work for standing overheads, only aerial moves. Therefore it’s not exactly an overhead cancel, but more of an aerial cancel.

Not only was this known about 1-2 months after japanese release of CGoH, but trying to name it after yourself is just super lame.
