Hey guys,

I modded my Fightstick (madcatz) last week with some sanwa parts. I got the joystick: Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT. Now my problem is, just now, when I push up the command doesn’t come through. In short, I can’t jump or scroll menu’s.

Does anyone know what I should do to make it work again?

Basic troubleshooting:

  1. Verify that wires are properly connected/soldered (if any)
  2. verify direction/button in question works elsewhere.
  3. if 1 and 2 fail, try to isolate the problem.

In most cases, im positive its an improper connection of the up direction.

Thanks, I used tape to keep the pins connected as I don’t have glue.

It could also be perhaps that you installed the 5 pin connector upside down or that you accidentally rotated the PCB a different way. The 5 pins on the JLF PCB are supposed to face away from the buttons to the left panel of the case. And on the connector, there should be two little “tabs” on one side of it. Those tabs have to be facing DOWN relative to you when you install it onto your JLF. Hope this helps.
