Teams that are "looking" strong thus far..(strictly theory fighting)

if we’re going by strictly theory I say MODOK, Trish, and Dorm would be a strong keep away team… maybe Dante jam session assist can be switched with Trish. Doom rocks may help MODOK out too. Then maybe to put an Arthur spin on it. Arthur, Trish, and Dorm.

I also agree that Wesker and Doom rocks might have some good potential, as for the third member maybe a good AA assist or an assist that can make Wesker’s mixups more confusing.

I’m wondering if Deadpool would actually work well with Wesker. I think Deadpools Gun assist should let Wesker get in easily, but I don’t know if Weskers assists can help Deadool out. I don’t see Samurai Edge adding to Deadpools tricks. Do we know what Wesker’s other assists are?

All depends on how this game handles cross ups attacks from both sides

If C.viper is able to use doom assist sj .airdash.df into burn kick crossup, i think we would have an interesting team. This means her tricks in sf4 can be more powerful.

Basically Seismo-DOOM rocks-tri-jump burn kick crossup.

insert push block anywhere. You guys keep building patterns based on the opponent NOT push blocking. The game NEVER works out like that. Very rarely do you get a long extended sequence where the opponent doesn’t push.

@ this point, its impossible to develop proper block strings. No one knows how the push block will play out in the final build, no one knows if guard cancel is still in the game, no one knows if push block can be canceled like in mvc2. There just isn’t enough information to actually start designing poke strings.

will viper have some tricks? sure as hell is lookin pretty strong but as to what those tricks will be is all circumstantial.

capcom finished the game pretty early, should of made it available for xmas. Would of been a big seller.

I think they were surprised how fast they finished, considering how much the date kept getting shorter rather than getting moved back.

theory fighting in my theory fighting thread? no way

You’ll never pass peer review with that kind of attitude :stuck_out_tongue:

i was thinking about using Dante/Storm/Viper. i was wonder if this team might work well together?

Depends on how you want that team to play, keep away, safe DHC, rushdown etc. They all look good on point, so it would probably work out pretty well. I actually kind of like that team.

Doomigan aka Team Metal and Lace. Doom rocks + Morgs Astral Vision shenanigans.

Wesker/Felicia/Doom all day. I’ve mentioned this in other threads, but I feel Wesker and Felicia are gonna have amazing synergy. Felicia can use her rolling buckler assist to set up easy unblockables for Wesker, and Wesker’s ease of getting in due to the instant teleports means he can easily due an air exchange to bring in Felicia which would alleviate the issues Felicia will have getting in. I’m also pretty sure that she has no way to relaunch after a knockdown, so Samurai Edge can fix that.

Doom rocks are doom rocks. They would be used to help Felicia get in or to set up mix-ups with Wesker. I’m also considering putting Dormammu in there with Black hole as an assist instead of Doom, but I’m not convinced.

No fuck winding her down she needs to be stupid.

Hm, guess i never thought of that. Can you pushblock assists, if so than every doom team is screwed.

Anyway, my first test team will be c.viper Siesmo/ Doom rocks/ and Joe Srk type move.

AW, i wish i was in clockw0rks class, then i would no how to make a good team

Pushblock does not affect assists…

and doom rocks are projectiles anyway

Projectiles are affected by pushblock…for whatever reason.(See Trish’s Scythe Hyper for example)

everytime i see that shit i get salty because it could have been an EX strider/doom trap without the dumbass TVC pushblock. At least it doesn’t negate chip

Trish’s scythe is probably the biggest example of why pushblocking is so dumb.

wait…what the fuck?!
