Anyone else think Shuma-Gorath would be a good assist for Logan? His beam clears pretty much the whole screen of projectiles, that might help out with rushdown.

Main thing I do is try getting a combo w/ Wolv, then DHC out of “air qcb Super” into Zero’s “Mirror Image Super”, then tag in Mag so now I have Mag on point w/ B. Barrage Assist & Zero AA w/ Mirror Image…
Wolv’s Bnb + Zero super is pretty damaging I don’t really think there is a need for mirror super dhc unless you really like it for assist. Personally I don’t even like using Zero as an assist, just becuase he is a glass cannon. Random super + 1.5 times damage in assist mode = DEAD.
The thing I like about Wolv/Zero is that it works both ways. You can easily do wolves bnb end in drill xx fatal claw and go into Zero’s Reohkahah (you always have the option to xfactor and do another one as well for guarantee kill) or whatever the fuck it’s called.
Other way around…
With zero if you have wolv on slash assist you can otg off zero’s bnb (MMHS the air qcf H). The only negative is that it knocks them out of the corner and you can’t super, but the only time you should be doing this combo is if you’re trying to save meter. The knocking them out of the corner is stupid too, but zero can easily mixup and put them right back in the corner. Basically the only time I ever use this (rare that I even use it) is when I only have 0 meters with zero since there no point in wasting super unless it kills. With 2 meters zero can bnb ch lmh, stand lmh, stand lmh, (optional since i noticed most people leave out the 3rd loop) mmhm, (corner only and 1 loop only, non corner or two or 3 loops then mmhs super) mhs, super dhc fatal claw. Or your basic zero charge buster combo (loops into buster into qcb L for corner, or lighting if midscreen) into launch and you know the end with super dhc into drill claw.
With me both Zero and Wolve are huge momentum characters. I don’t expect people to live after I land the first hit. The last thing I want to do is mirror image zero’s as a dhc then use his assist as a freaking anti air. I look at it is if I play someone it shouldn’t take me more then 2 combos to kill a character with zero or wolv becuase there bnb builds 1 bar which guarantees a dhc.
The reason I do it for this team is to get mag on point w/ Zero’s AA(to keep it safe?) and disrupters should keep random supers to a minimum

Do you like Doom’s DHCs off Wolvie?
Right now I’ve been running Wolvie/Dormammu/Sentinel and I love the order. If I get Wolvie’ BnB/Air/Ground Fatal Claw DHC into either of Dormammu’s Supers is great. Also he builds a ton of meter for Dormammu to play around with.
I want to switch out Sentinel for Doom (possibly), but I don’t really like Doom’s DHC options.
Doom’s Sphere Flame is great for DHC. It hits at ranges that it looks like it shouldn’t and goes straight up, so it works great after Wolverine’s Fatal Claw BnB. To top it off, if you choose to XFC it, you can launch another for oodles of damage. It works great if you just need to kill off a character; be it a 2 on 1 situation or you just need to deal with an annoying character, it’s a great DHC.
Going the other way works a bit different. You have to change Doom’s BnB to end in a j.:s: :qcf::atk::atk:. It hits about ground level and the photons travel pretty slow, so you can DHC into basically anything you want.
Thanks for the heads up. Going to mess around with that a little bit, since I want to get Sent off my team eventually.
Would you guys use Doom Rocks or Missles to help Wolvie out?
Plasma beam
I’ve been running Wolvie(berzerker barrage), Hulk(gamma wave), Ryu(tatsu). Normal bnb with otg slide and tatsu assist into berzerker barrage X and dhc to gamma crush, does almost 900k. One touch death against a lot of characters, and it’s so simple. Isn’t really the most conventional team. What do you guys think of it? Could probably use a better assist, but I haven’t enjoyed playing any of those characters.
Gamma Wave assist with :h:Slash should be pretty good but hard to launch out of. And likely if your on top of your opp you can call for a tatsu assist with Slash for another cross-up to launch setup, since it would give you more time than the gamma wave.
I took the liberty to see if there were any DHC glitchs you can set-up with that team, but there are not.
I use Wolvie to this end with Storm’s Elemental Rage, simple DHC combo nets 900k+
I get alot of success with Wolvie on point using ground covering assist, mixed with cross-up slashes, hi-low mix-ups, and Dive Kicks.
I guess thats pointing out the obvious though
I’ve been using Wolvie(Bzrk. Barrage)\Ammy(Cold Star)\X-23 (Ankle Slice) But not really liking X-23. Also, haven’t really tapped into any of Ammy’s weapons other than the fire one. Any suggestions to replace X? Would Wesker fit? As I’m interested in him.

I have recently picked up Wolverine and I love his BnB/Touch of Death combo with his dive kicks. The problem I have right now is his cross up and resets. This would also include his assists. As of now, I have Akuma (Beta) and Hulk (Beta) as part of Wolverine’s team. Can anyone else share their assists/team that helps Wolverine get in on players with cross ups and resets?
if you got somebody blocking crouch u can through out akuma tatsu assist then with wolverine u can jump back with light punch which counts as instant overhead attack i think jumping foward with light punch counts as overhead also not sure though still working this out
akumas tatsu assist seems to have lots of prioity
Watch justin wong matches in marvel vs capcom 3 he uses wolverine storm akuma in his team and u can learn alot from watching what he does
Hmm id say good fits to replace x-23 are Doom (good projectile) /Mag(good projectiles) /Ryu(fast and damageing super) /Akuma (tatsu assist goes well with wolverine’s combos)
I use Wolverine(Slash) / Taskmaster(Up shot) / Akuma(Tatsu)
Akuma for the tatsu options with wolv, after OTG etc. With Taskmaster I can use both assists in one combo. The Timing is stricter if its not in the corner.
My new BnB combo in the corner with Wolverine and Task is after I get an opening I launch into the air and start M, M, H, Drill Claw, Dive kick, Call Task (Upshot), H, S, I dont jump at all. The arrows will hit and send opponent down. As the Opponent gets hit I do an up+Forward Drill Claw into Fatal Claw. If timed right (and If I have more than 2 bars) I will Tornado claw into another Fatal Claw. You can actually keep doing it as long as you have the bars and timing right on!
I just have two questions. Why is jumping back L being used for overhead instead of Jump forward L? Also, isn’t jumping S more effective as a overhead to cross up?

midscreen you can do Hulk-assist and imidiately after that H.slash
H.slash will crossup and hulks waves will bounce them back into your s.H -> S -> combo
also works in combos:
combo into s.H+A xx MSlash -> s.H -> S -> continue
in corners Hulks waves wiff but here comes doom into play:
press Assit and than go for the crossup-slash -> foe will bounce into doom who is launching his missiles and you can combo sJ into drill claw -> dive kick -> continue
hulks waves help to get in and dooms hidden missiles hit OTG (yes! they do!)
standard combo:
cr.LMHS -> j.MMH xx drill claw -> divekick -> H+A(doom) -> S -> j.MMLHS -> (missiles hit OTG)
corner follow up: simply do a HC
midscreen follow up: do HC or do barrage(mashed) into HC
midscreen the missiles that are supposed to hit OTG sometimes disappear but thats a problem belonging to the doom thread…
