I’ve switched between so many characters, tried so many different combinations, so many different team comps, and I’m still not happy with a team. So I’m asking you guys, and all your knowledge of the game.
Can we find a team for me?
I love combos. Long, flashy, combos full of variety that, even if they don’t do the most damage, look amazing. What do you guys think the BEST team for doing these kind of combos is? Keep in mind the team synergy, the dhc possibilities etc.
I imagine a lot of you are going to have different answers, so I’m hoping to get some real discussion on this.

El Gato’s team Modok/Strange/Doom seems to be at the forefront of stylish combos. But this is more due to El Gato being one of the most creative players out there. You can discover some crazy stuff if you put a team together yourself and that might be the recommended way to do it if styling is your objective. But I’d have to say the tech with these characters is insane and all their combos go on forever and ever thanks to El Gato working tirelessly and being creative enough to come up with this stuff.

Well, I’ve been thinking about a team entirely around extending Dante’s capabilities, since I finally got bold canceling down. I messed around with Iron Man a bit, and his beam assist is okay for doing some cool things, but I’m not sure. And I know Vergil is a perfect match, but I’m not sure I could bring myself to play him honestly. I mean, he’s Vergil after all.
Dante’s gonna be your best bet if you want flashy combos. If you want a team that can work with neutral game too and isn’t just a combo video, then I’d suggest Dante/Vergil/Strider. Very simple gameplan, but a very effective one.
Flashy combos:
A team that I can think of is
Tron (Any assist)
Dante (Jam Session)
Shuma Gorath (Mystic Ray)
Each of these characters have really flashy ToD combos.
Tron has synergy with Dante’s Jam Session, a vital extender in her combos.
Dante can hide behind Shuma’s Mystic Ray to initiate into his long flashy combos. Stylish af. He doesn’t need assists to get flashy.
Shuma. Omg Shuma, love this character. Hard to use, but extremely rewarding. He doesn’t need assists either, just alot of skill and knowledge in using a charge character. He can ToD from his overhead (a TK Mystic Smash), and his combos are extremely flashy, as well.
I can post some videos showing what they can do if you want me to, but I recommend you hit the lab with this team and see what you think.
Not my main team, but I will try to give Tron a shot.
Totally forgot Shuma is a DLC Character.
Other assists you can use for Tron and Dante:
Sentinel’s Drones (for Tron esp.)
Magneto’s Beam (for Dante esp.)
Deadpool’s Quick Work (Love this for Dante)
Vergil’s Rapid Slash (Ugh, you prob wont use this, but I can’t deny his synergy with Dante, and a lockdown assist for Tron. fking Vergil)
Doctor Doom’s Plasma Beam.

Dante (Jam Session)/ Viewtiful Joe (Shocking Pink)/ Doctor Doom (Hidden Missiles) Lets you do some of the silliest stuff I’ve seen. It’s hilarious if you start it from millionstab since you’ll hit minimum scaling so quickly and have 200+ hit combos that don’t kill.
