Ok I started a Tournament thread. I would really like to get this all planned out ASAP. I would like to not front alot of money for this tournament (as far as venue goes.) If someone has a big garage, and I mean BIG, that would be awsome too.

PS- cvs2 will be in a japanese cabinet right? and what will 3S be played on? i only have my agetec now since byron finally got his ps2 stick back.
CvS2 will be on the Blast City cabinet in Hi-Res. I’m trying to do a test on 3rd Strike, if you all would help me. I’m running the JP version 3rd Strike on the Dreamcast in the Blast City cabinet and I’m going to compare it to the arcade version. SteveTren will be bringing the arcade version of 3S that night. I think he is also bringing a SF AE board as well.
Anyways, I’m trying to compare the parry timing in the DC version to the AC version. You all seem to know your shit, so that should help.

*edit: Where in the world do you guys get these arcade cabs and original arcade boards?? I’m aware of MAME cabs and emulating the games on a PC but it sounds like you all have the original cabinets for these games. Am I wrong?

Currently, I’m running a MAME PC in one of my cabs. It’s running custom hardware so it emulates the games perfectly. Goto www.ultimarc.com and check out their J-PAC and ArcadeVGA products. You get perfect resolution on an arcade monitor and perfect controls. Almost plug n’ play in a Jamma cab.
I own a CPS3 3rd Strike and 2nd Impact. Sadly the 3rd Strike died, but the 2nd Impact still works. Thats about it for legit hardware on my side.

So how do you play the actual CPS3 board? Just hook it up to a PC? I’m not that familiar with arcade boards in general.
The CPS3 board is jamma based, it wont hook up to a PC. Anyways, inside the cab is a jamma harness, you connect the board to the harness. Thats about it.
It would be nice if someone made a Jamma harness for the PS2, that would be nice. I don’t think PSOne would work since it can’t output RGB.
