well, when chase picked up byron’s stick from me yesterday, he said the fight nights have ALL been guilty gear lately, so he hasn’t told me about them since i don’t play GG at all. can’t show up to something that i don’t know about.
just tell me when the next fight night is when you are coming up/when 3S or cvs2 is being played and i’m game.
Yea, we should all get together and play sometime. I’m pretty much down whenever. I’m actually going on the cheap with the Blast City cab, I have a Dreamcast hooked up to it for CvS2 and 3S. I usually rock those on that cab. On the Astro City, I have a MAME PC hooked up so it’s mainly used for Super Turbo, Alpha/Zero3, etc. Its pretty badass to see it in action. I’m sure you all are a lot better than me but the only way to get better is to play higher level players. I can get GGXX Reload on the Astro cab I think as well. I’m also located really close to Jacobson Park.

btw, I recenty started a new job and believe it or not, there’s a few good Teken, CVS2, 3s, SF2 and Marvel players here. We get down on the tv in the break room for our lunch. They all either know one game or the other but have expressed interest in playing diff games. Maybe we could actually get a scene in Kentucky?!?!?!?!? Is it possible? Maybe a friendly Lou vs Lex rivalry? I dunno, it might be awesome.

Jacobson Park is right off of Richmond Rd. I’d try a shot at CvS2 with you, and see how I fair. I think I’m pretty good as 3S. That’s playing by myself though, heh. I didn’t know there were this many KY players. Good stuff.

There’s about two descent CvS2 players. Everyone’s willing to learn. Just want some comp.
I’m going to practice my CvS2 game. 
Next fight night I’m gonna bring another TV and everything just to play SF on.
This year’s tournament will be held off of UK’s campus so we can have money prizes. This may mean a smaller venue than before, but the tournament should be much better for it when Me and Zinac can have control over every aspect of the tournament. This also means that a standard door entry fee may be necessary to pay for the venue.
We need to come up with a good name for this tournament, since it seems like it’s going to become an annual thing.
Games will of course be GG, 3S, Tekken, CVS2, Marvel, and ST.
10$ entry fee for all games. Door fee will depend on the cost of the venue.
We need to discuss the date. A saturday of course, sometime between October and December. I’m leaning toward a later date, trying to avoid mid terms, finals, and the holidays.
Location is of course Lexington, since it seems to be the hub city for this region.
How many should we expect in attendance? Last time was about 20 I think. The problem was a lot of people didn’t play the same games. This time I want to see at least one proper 16 man bracket.
What do you guys think?
I think we really should ask someone who has experience hosting LAN parties in Lexington. They would have smiliar experiences (need more outlets!), and know how to deal with getting a venue suited for the expected turnout.
We can pretty much guarentee that everyone that showed up at fight night will come. So thats going to be about 12 people at the very least, but I don’t know if we will need to front the money for a venue or not.
Regardless of what we do, we need to find a place in september so people have plenty of time to plan it out.

in 3S, chun is my main, and i can play a decent ken. i’ve messed around with makoto and dudley before also, but i try to stick to chun now.
in cvs2, i can literally play just about anyone. but my best are A-eagle/rolento/blanka/hibiki/sakura/vega/bison, top tier stuff like that. my C-chun/maki/rolento team is pretty solid also.
let’s do fight night on a wednesday this week or something. what do you guys think?
In 3S I’ve been using Chun a lot more than I used to. Like you, I’m a decent Ken. I can host a fight night if you all are interested. You think you all can play with Sanwa joysticks on japanese cabs? I need competition bad, gotta work on my skills. Lemme know what you all think. I can do it Wednesday also.

Everyone in Lex can play on sanwa, well that I know of. I usually host fight night btw, and that usually occurs on Tuesday, since it is the most practical for most people who don’t live in Lexington. I’m sure anyone in Lexington would love to come over and play any game if you ask. I would like to play on an actually cabinet for a change I have a modded PS2 with GG/,MB:AC, and KOFXI would it be possible to connect that to your cabinet?

I’ve got Grand Master Challenge, Zero3, 3rd Strike, CvS2 and MvC2 up to play. I can hook up a PS2 to my cab but I havent hacked any control pcbs to do so. Also I need a hacked scart cable to get the video side up. It wouldnt be that hard at all. I have a modded PS2 as well. I need to get Melty Blood from you.

Did someone say my name? imho if it’s only going to be 20ish people it’s really not worth getting a venue for… You should just find someone local with a house to host it. Hell I’ve fit 30 people w/ computers into some small places… but anyways if I still had access to my old venues I’d hook you up. I’m sure that you could find a place fairly easy if you can’t find someone local to host though.
