Team Juri (XBL) - Wednesday/Sunday Nights

You’re not alone there, I feel as if I know nothing about Juri but the road to getting better with her only makes it that much more fun. See you online later tonight Vola. if you’re still on, I need to learn a few things as well.

I’m about to start a lobby in a few minutes and the chat room is open.

If the lobbies begin to feel too cluttered for most of you, we can break it up into groups of 4. You guys will probably see a lot of Yang today. I’ve been trying to practice him as a sub. Also, send me a message, if you want an invite

I wish you had a mic so that I could talk to you about what was going on. I wasn’t ever going easy, I was just trying to let you run some offense to see how you would approach me, and then show you the holes in it by countering. Obviously that looks weird when I’m standing close and not pressuring :stuck_out_tongue: Trust me, we are all in the same boat here, Juri is a hard character to play and working together on her helps everyone, no matter the skill level.

You should watch emperorcows video of juri basics, he has an entire playlist that pretty much spells out how she works, and what to do in different situations.

I had a lot of fun for my first time being in an endless battle lobby. I learned a lot, I know I’m pretty noob but hey, It’s only been a few weeks. Hopefully I’ve gotten better by the next time I join you all. Thanks for the games.

Ditto.

Huge thanks to Jag and FetZ for trying to teach me a couple things even though I could only hear them and had no way of talking to them. ;D

Good Games guys, that was fun. It’s so rare for me to get to play other Juri’s. I learned a lot, and I have a long way to go just to be decent with Juri. You guys can add me on XBL if you want, GT: Fatal Error XI. I look forward to doing this again.

Im down for this I’ve wanted to pick up juri for a while now. GT: N0TaSNIP3R. Location: Cincinnati,OH. Warning I just picked my new stick this weekend so I’m pretty much ass right now lol

Sorry I didn’t make any sessions last night.
I totally forgot I was going for college orientation and I don’t have a wireless thing for hotels internet. :frowning:
I’ll show up for this wednesday and so forth.

Fatal… Your from long island? What part? We do a lot of sessions on the island and have bi weekly tourneys out east with a BBQ tourney in Nassau.

Good Games to everyone in the Juri lobbies yesterday. Definitely had some good times practicing my Juri but more so getting my Yang ready.

@ Volacide: No problem! I’m definitely not one of the better Juri players in the group, but I’ll help whatever way I can. FetZ and Kail make good teachers.

@ Kail: I really enjoyed playing your Juri yesterday. It’s like playing rock paper scissors every match (I respect that) XD By the time we have our next session, I’ll make sure to command grab you at least 4 times per match and not drop herp derp combos, lol. Also, I don’t approve of being used as red polish for anyone’s nails.

@ FetZ: Good stuff yesterday and thanks for letting me join that session with you and your friends. I also like how your Oni is developing. Also, who was that guys who kept saying “I hope you like d*cks”? I had to mute my mic every time I heard that from laughter.

That was me. Shout outs to moons, a long island player for that troll of a joke.

Do you plan on attending Guard Crush anytime soon? I wouldn’t mind seeing you play on the stream and become a manicurist aka “paint them toe nails red” XD

Yeah, I live in Suffolk. Islip.
I want to step my game up before I start going to tourneys. I would probably go 0-2 the way I am now.

No need to step up your game before you head to tournaments in my opinion. Even if you don’t enter they are hella fun, even if you’re just spectating or jumping into a couple casual sets. I’ve been effectively playing this game for less than 2 weeks and I went out to a tournament last Saturday. The atmosphere was awesome and I even found another super new player to play some casuals against.

In other news, I went out to grab a mic today to replace the one I lost and ended up coming back with Turtle Beach X11s which are pretty awesome. Point being, I have a mic now. ;D

I’m pretty sure that was Kail. He says that he has a strange personality, but IMO he’s just super funny. They were also quoting some Hulk sayings in MvC3 that are pretty strange sounding. Also, I don’t really know those guys in the lobby. I ran into suicidalj on saturday, and had some really good games with him, and it turns out he is friends with some pretty strong players. This is all new to me. Getting in rooms with those guys helps a lot. They play on a high level, understand the game, and give you valuable experience against other characters. I do like using Oni, but I have a hard time with him against scrubs and strong opponents alike. Most of the trouble seems to be how weak my AA game is. Working though that may be worth it, I’ll see

The hardest thing about playing yang for me has been the mastery of his lp/lk links, and when do either cr.lk x cr.lp x st.lp.x cr.mk xx slash OR cr. lk x2(3) st. lk xx slash. Also, always make sure you are doing HP slash in combos because it makes the FADC options much easier.

@Volacide: Just hit up the lab and make her basic combos second nature, so you know what to do. We showed you enough to get you started. It also wouldn’t hurt to play arcade mode on a reasonable level and practice those things against an opponent, even if that opponent is AI. You can also setup the AI in training mode to help your situational awareness against any character you want.

I’m excited for Saixhinata to get in the lobby because his spacing game with Juri is excellent, and I think that every player in the session could learn/STEAL how he does it so well

I didn’t get many games in with the rest of you, but If you see me online, I would much rather session than duke it out against random opponents.

Awesome, time to hit the lab hard. ;D I’m down to play with anyone who needs a super scrubby opponent at anytime if I’m online.

Do a search for Michael farriella on Facebook. Friend me. Say your fatal from srk. I’ll invite you to the long island sessions group. I expect you at sessions tuesday or Thursday.

It’s in islip on udall.

No excuses. Sessions in your backyard. You should go.

I’ll have to run some matches against Saixhinata, since I’ve heard so much about him. I like to run in too much with Yang and I want an opponent to teach when when to block :stuck_out_tongue: I’ll be logged on today after 6pm if you want to get some practice in too.

K, I added you.
I cant promise that I can make it out, but it sounds like fun.

ok, I should be apart of this.

ArrahDre.

someone add me.
