   i don’t play cvs2 so i don’t have to read shit. this is real fucking deal hate right here

chibi why you gotta snap at me son
lol
i got my bread and butter and some of the matchups and ima keep hating on MB because its so EASY
i only say its easy cuz it almost encourages button mashing because when you are taking damage it wants you to hit buttons along the rhythm of the hits to reduce damage so if somebody goes for a tick throw or something ill get a down a and combo it into a b&b that goes into a throw that goes into a combo setup

but really this is what i want. to get somebody all riled up so they wanna come here and rape to force me to go home and come up with hotshit for the next tourney.
lets see you come here in april and change my mind maybe ill go back home and come up with some broken shit find a character that rocks

ā€œTHE LINENā€

and take the game serious

chibi you still cool with all your crazy ass av designs and your love for games that everybody else thinks are random

this has to be the greatest black on black crime i seen in years

Belly bump loop FTMFW

Button mashing is not encouraged in MB, if you time the buttons correctly you really do get a noticable amount of damage taken off of your opponents combo, it’s well worth the trouble. Mashing won’t get you shit. It’s just the game’s way of keeping you with the ever constant changing momentum, there’s never a momentum where you’re just sitting there twiddling your thumbs, even when you’re getting hit. You feed off of that energy and throw it right back at your opponent, it’s what I love about this game.

You play Sion anyway, right? Bitch is pretty scary when you get her shit down, she can keep you in a combo for ages if she wants to.

And someone has to show these games some love.

:stuck_out_tongue:

i call it mashing because you are just sitting there hitting those buttons when you are getting hit if someone stops their combo to mix you up into throws for more damage or better screen position then while im hitting buttons to reduce damage i will just get a random poke if the poke hits its not too hard to just see it and go for a combo. so its like the game punishes you for trying mixups or resets instead they want you to just finish your one combo then attempt to land another one. in other games you have to sit there and wait and get the right timing attacks so you dont get raped for counter hits. its almost like they dont want you to be sneaky and get people with reset type tricks because at all times during combos both players are hitting buttons

and nah i dont play sion i play ciel aka that cheap aka 2a into combos all day:looney:

First of all! Nestor is a friend and when you have people outside the camp that thinks he is a leader or a god to us its hella funny; but when it’s someone from the camp that makes it sound like hes our boss and we could never do anything without him it’s like wtf are you talking about because you know how it really is. we don’t even play with this dude, well maby once every 4 months and in a random tournament. Not to mention that when he dose play with us he dose not even pick his real character. Don’t get me wrong Ness is a beast at a few fighting games but he did not make any of us better(the ones that go to wallcade on thurs and sat). So when hes out doing his thing in Hawaii its not like we just all going to suck because Nestor gives us power. + Ed don’t let all this people on the internet brainwash you because you know we DON’T SUCK! We’re not the fucking best and there is no Fucking way that we are the worst. Ed what do you think will happen if you win all your MM and get 1st at all the tourneys, the people will still call you a scrub and say that your random I mean the fan boys will look up to you and think your godlike but most of the top players will think other wise. The Chaos dude hated on all the top players in MVC2 and he did not even talk about there game play he just called them bitch niggaz and chopped them 5 times X X X X X:rofl:(That shit was way to funny to me). what Im saying is there is no need to impress male groupies just chill and let you game play do the talking

Master Chibi: I am the Sion player and Ill Will plays Ciel. TGA is still like 2.5 hrs away from us, so that means it takes us the same time to get to NY as it dose TGA, so it not like we can just walk up the road to play MB. I must agree with Will that the game is easy. Im not calling it a scrub game at all so don’t think thats what i mean when I say its easy. Im sure you play that game at a deep Lv but you cant really think its a hard game to learn compared to the others fighters that people play seriously.

@ Ill Will:

The only time you should pressing buttons in tune with the combo your opponent is performing is when they’re doing their character’s respective bread and butter, which is almost always done in the air. You’re free to attempt to do the same on the ground, but as you said, they can stop a combo midway (I’m not sure why they would want to) and confuse you from there.

And man this game is all about mix-ups / resets / getting right into the mind of your opponent as quickly as possible, there’s so little robotic nature to this game. I can tell people what to use for ant air and what combo they should be doing, but outside of that you can’t really teach much anything else. That’s why I said the game is so heavily based on momentum, if you lose that you give your opponent the chance to throw it right back at you. This game is all about reset / mix up craziness. Between two players who know the game and each other, well the momentum can be thrown from either side so many times it’s practically a fucking match of ping pong.

Watch this video, and the other videos with the ā€˜NEC (Grand Finals)’ label on it. There are some points where it looks like Zar has it won, but then Sp00ky refuses to die. The likes of pressing buttons to reduce damage, activating heat, and just catching Zar off guard (and getting into his head) keeps Sp00ky in the game and continously keeps the momentum jumping back and forth between one another.

(They’ve gotten waaaaaaaaaaaaay better since those vids as well ;p).

The problem is you picked Ciel, bitch is annoying, but has low damage output and not all that much to go for with damage from random hits. 4C and 236+C are a saving grace, and she has SOME mix-ups (just in the corner really) but I [personally] advise picking someone else. She’s not a bad character by any means (noone in this game is), but that’s just how I see it. If you like playing her though, stick with her then.

@ Jjuice:

If you guys are interested in the game, that’s fine, but if you’re going to stop playing because it’s ā€˜an easy’ game then that’s obviously what I have a problem with. GG is an easy game to pick up. Yes, I said it, and I mean it. At the START GG is an easy game to pick up. All normals chain, you have a launcher into an air combo, three buttons to roman cancel, and so on.

To actually be DECENT in GG though, or to even go beyond that, well it’s quite hard.

In that sense, yes, MB is an easy game to pick up, it shares similarities with GG, but there’s so, so, so much more to the game, and I’d hate if you guys dismiss it so easily because it’s ā€˜easy’ to you and thus not worth your time.

I mean I know I’m annoying by bickering about this, but TGA is part of the MB community now, so I can’t help it, and I don’t mean any malice in what I say either. If you guys seriously don’t like the game anymore and don’t want to play, then I can’t stop you, but I’ll try my damndest to keep you interested / inform you otherwise.

;p

juice you’re right about all that right there. one thing i can say is this i don’t let none of this li nin’s ass nigga 's brainwash me with that bullshit. wat i’m saying it’s time to show them once and for all? that nes is not our god or boss that ( i got my own god ME) everyone is team hate is strong enough to take these bums out. that’s all i’m saying i hope no one things that i’m on nes dick or anything like that cuz it’s not like that at all. ( once again the dicking is on my own dick…no homo)… SHIT I GOT FANBOI’S LOOKING UP TO ME NOW  . P.S.A can’t wait to play yall at the tourny. get hype!!

Niggas!!!

a smooth moment

Juice i agree on most of the things you said except this one part. You are making it sounds like i never played any of you guys outside of tourneys and that is completely wrong. I remember when TGA was in RI and i used to play you peeps every week with my ā€œreal characterā€, used to drive to smooth’s ā€œcaveā€ to play all the time. Now im not speaking for you and Wilson cause i never seen you peeps at smooth’s but i can guarantee Smooth, Paul, Ed and Tony got better from playing me and even vice versa i ain’t gonna lie. But if there has to be a captain to a hate team like some 5on5 type shit i would argue that it should be me.

The last couple of month’s i havent been so financially stable and I was having car problems so i wasn’t driving to Paul’s as often, not to mention the fact that i been getting bored of playing and i havent had that much motivation to play. Which is the reason I had been learning all the characters, I didnt know anybody was going to get emotional over that and I didn’t mean to offend anybody. Ill play Yun anytime if someone ask’s me I don’t care. The last time i was going to go i found out from KOfiend that you guys were going to his crib but nobody invited me which is surprising cause everybody knew except me and even Jon was expecting to play me. Its all good tho, keep playing bro peace.

juice believe or not he’s made all of us better.

finally the herbs come around

I’m not saying that you never play with us, I’m just saying that its a rare thing. I’m not emotional and i don’t feel offend that we can’t all play with each other(no homo) because of life; I was just putting in my 2c about what Ed posted. It’s not that serious and I did not mean to offend you by posting my opinion.

What dose a team captain do for 5on5s?

rub your shoulders and whisper sweet nothings into your ears

aight i was just trying to say thats what it sounded like. I explained what has been going on the last several months so its partly true but not entirely.
About the whole emotional and offensive part i was refering to the characters i choose to use. Whats wrong with simply trying to learn a new character for matchup purposes? I am at no point talking about what Ed posted btw.

also team captain has control over the team and decides the players and stuff.

I’m gonna have to bite on this and disagree.

But here is the basic problem with your argument: You are saying MB, just as you pick it up, is just as easy as Guilty Gear when you pick it up. This is wrong because you are assuming that chaining hits into one another(PKSH) and learning basic launcher combos qualifies as ā€œpicking upā€ Guilty Gear. Do you know how good someone will be at Guilty Gear by learning what you described? They’d be a helpless, flopping retard who I would mawl 100 times out of 100. Now, I learn my B&Bs for Melty Blood…and I’m far from helpless. Sure, I wouldn’t be a pro but I wouldn’t be helpless. This is because learning B&Bs in MB DOES qualify as picking it up. That’s all you need in order to compete and begin learning the game’s more advanced stuff. With GG, you would need to learn so much just to have a chance at beating me one time out of ten.

Still, by the way you defined it every game would be just as easy to ā€œpick upā€ because learning to chain moves/launchers to air combos isn’t hard. The main reason GG is a harder game is because, well, it requires more base knowledge just to play it. I’m sure MB has it’s own complexity in high level play, most games do…but the thing is comparatively speaking to Guilty Gear, MB is so much easier to play. Both at the beginning level and high level play. You’d be hard pressed to find a fighting game that was so easy you never needed to practice to be good. But in the scheme of things, Melty Blood is one of the easiest fighters to pick up and even play at an advanced level from what I’ve seen.

Anyways, I don’t mean to sound offensive if I’ve come off that way, that’s just how I feel about it.

now for some sad news…i just quit my job…meaning imma have to move or collect unemployment…gotta job lined up in oklahoma kinda sorta…i know what ur thinking…sucks to be me…anyways…im playin with some of the top players up here so i need to take advantage of you all and get as much sessions in as possible because i know when i get there…imma probably have to travel like 8 hours just to find decent players…
